Re: Phoenix Oct 28 - got hit hard with chemtrails.
Common sense and high school physics.
One of the myriad of sources that explain the formation of contrails: http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/wxwise/class/contrail.html This chemtrail nonsense is the modern-day internet equivalent of UFOs. It is yet another example of idiots believing anything they read that jibes with their ideology, no matter how far fetched, improbable, or just plain ignorant. Matt

Yes, and many other kinds of jets too, but what is really rare are the formations of multi-engine jets flying back and forth producing a grid of trails. I haven't found anyone with a reasonable explanation for that yet.

Re: Phoenix Oct 28 - got hit hard with chemtrails.
Apparently, you just don't know how many commercial flights there are in the US on a given day. On any given day, there are over 4,000 domestic flights in the continental US. (http://www.bts.gov/press_releases/20....html#table_07)
Remember also that you are looking at the formations of the contrails from the ground, at a slant angle. From that perspective, a series of 5 contrails along the exact same flight track, but 1,000 feet apart vertically will look like 5 parallel lines.... Matt

Re: Phoenix Oct 28 - got hit hard with chemtrails.
Just out of idle curiousity, Matt, have read anything about or watched the video of the surgeries to remove odd pieces of electronic(?) equipment that have been implanted in humans by (whoever)? Dr. Roger Leir has removed a number of these strange objects and had them analyzed in labs. No one has yet discerned what they are or how they work.
How about "rods"? A lifeform that seems to occupy the same space/time that we do, but lives at such a fast pace that it takes special equipment to observe or even detect them. I learned a long time ago that there are a lot of strange things going on that are outside the purview of "common sense" but appear nonetheless to be real. Immanuel Velikovsky was drummed out of the scientific community for his weird techniques--like dowsing faults from the back of yak in the Ural Mountains. But years later seismologists discovered that his dowsing technique provided extremely accurate maps of the faults in the Ural Mountains. I don't "believe" things like Christians talk about believing the Bible, but I also don't throw things out without a fair hearing. A college education taught me, more than anything else, how little we know about the universe in which we live. Have you read any of the books by William R. Corliss? He's been collecting stories about anomalies from all kinds of sources for decades, many of his stories come from scientific journals. Interesting stuff that you don't often hear about.

Re: Phoenix Oct 28 - got hit hard with chemtrails.
vapor trails as spad was talking about is true. It is called contrails and they do exist.
Contrails are short and dissapate quick. They can't linger. It is scientifically impossible for a contrail to linger and spread. It is vapor being influenced by the physics of the aircraft speeding though the atmosphere. Once that element is gone, the properties for the contrail that make it exist disappears, therefore, the contrail has a very short life. Chemtrails are completely different and it is being sprayed into our atmosphere. We breathe it. I'm not here to tell you what chemtrails are. I don't know. I'm just saying that I'd like to know what my air is being sprayed with. I don't care if you guys call me looney. I'm looking at my sky being sprayed with my own eyes. It's not a figment of my imagination. It's real. I don't know why you guys dismiss it. It affects us all. Anyways. I'd like to have a conversation about it and not flaming insults because they won't consider it. |

Also note that the burning of fossil fuel produces a certain amount of water vapor. So your explanation of "vapor being influenced" is failing to account for a significant element. Hot gasses can hold more water vapor than cold ones. Those living in cold climes have seem this first hand when they exhale or when they start their car on a cold dry morning. Quote:
Have a peek at this explanation of the factors that determine the persistence of a contrail: http://iangoddard.net/contral2.htm Another discussion of contrail persistence: http://students.ou.edu/J/Thomas.A.Jones-1/contrail.html Another explanation from the National Weather Service: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/fgz/science/contrail.php Quote:
I'll close with an item from Scientific American explaining the formation and variable persistence of contrails: http://www.sciam.com/askexpert_quest...D=3&topicID=13 Matt
