Incorrect - there are documented cases of the police entering private homes without warrant and confiscating firearms from law abiding citizens.

The 4th Amendment was positively raped during Katrina. It is a national disgrace, but unfortunately those responsible - Mayor Nagin and his Police Superintendent, P. Edwin Compass - have escaped justice for their criminal acts.

The only positive thing to come from these outrageous seizures is that the majority of states now have laws on the books preventing future occurrences of this appalling behavior.
