Re: Say Hello to the Goodby Gun

Wow, that’s really something. But why did you place it in Social issues??? This is fascinating, a high-tech “just released” top secrete weapon really belongs where science geeks can find it.

Bull Connor would have loved this.

Because I don't really see it as a technological marvel. That we're capable of it making something like this isn't really a big surprise. I'm far more interested in the idea of cooking masses of people who we don't even intend to arrest much less bring to trial. I believe in ten years it will be quite obvious why this is in social issues.

Re: Say Hello to the Goodby Gun

I was thinking more on the line of non-lethal weaponry evolving into the same effectiveness as a 357 magnum with the bad guy waking up in a few minutes with a bad headache. about 10yrs.

I’m just really flipping impressed. Remember the old Star Trek episodes were the enterprise would send down a beam and paralyze the entire city? Cool!!!

Re: Say Hello to the Goodby Gun

Well we’ll just have to keep it away from the only ones who point military weapons at U.S. citizens. Democrats:

C'mon now. I'd love to keep the democrats from using this against civilian targets anywhere in the world but I'd like just as much to prevent republicans or even the National Association of Little Person's from doing the same.

When you say something like Democrats are the only people who point military weapons at US citizens when we all know the Bush administration had the National Guard using their guns to confiscate legally owned firearms from civilians in New Orleans you destroy any credibility you might have had. Why's it gotta be left vs. right all the friggin time? Only drones think that way.

I guarantee you there were republicans involved in Waco and the Elian debacle. I'll even take my prediction a step farther and say not only will it be manned by both republicans and democrats but it will be used during both a republican and democratic presidency.

That kid needed to go back to Cuba. He wasn't a US citizen, and his sole surviving parent was there.

Koresh thought he was jesus.

I don't have a problem with either of those two incidents...
