Man held in decapitation of daughter, 4

By MIKE BAKER, Associated Press Writer
Sun Jan 14, 3:05 AM ET

RALEIGH, N.C. - A man suspected of decapitating his 4-year-old daughter and leaving the body for her mother to find in their suburban home was arrested in Washington, D.C., early Saturday, authorities said.

Let's discuss that severe capital punishment thing again, because if this guy is found guilty, he deserves to die a very slow and painful death.....In fact, I'd be glad to assist.....

Put him in an asylum for the criminally insane, put him away for life. However, "severe capital punishment"? No. I still maintain that two wrongs don't make a right, and an eye for an eye is certainly not the best policy. Further, it hasn't been estabilished as yet if the guy was insane or not.

I still fail to see where removing this animal from the living would be considered wrong.

I also fail to see where execution for the crime of murdering a child is not the best policy.

By the way - if he is the one who did it, yeah -he's insane. Sane people do not decaptiate children.

I fail to see what is cruel and unusual about executing someone who murders a child.

How is it cruel? His execution will be FAR cleaner and relatively pain-free compared to how he killed the child.

How is it unusual? We execute killers all the time.

Who's being the asshole? It should be pretty clear that a quote about CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT would be about the description of CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT just a few inches above.

No argument on any of the above (ok, even the insane part then - I agree that sane people don't decapicitate children). What I'm saying and you keep missing, is that "severe" capital punishment, by which I assume you mean torture is not necessary. I'm not debating the death penalty here. Neither am I saying dont put him in jail. Neither I am saying don't lock him up for life in a mental facility (this is what I meant by criminally insane - if he was really unable to understand what he did wrong and why he did it then he should be locked up in an asylum for the criminally insane - much like Hannibal Lecter was).

And what exactly do you think they'd have done back in the days when the Constitution was written ?

Screw that, "if" he is found guilty, just show me a picture of the kids body and I wouldn't bat an eye at fucking him up and making him pray for death....
This killing was done by an animal, an animal that must pay for what was done..

Thats where we disagree - I dont think its necessary to use force. Sentence him to death if he's not criminally insane, else lock him up in a mental facility but there isnt a need for more brutality ...

There you have it folks...........proof that people actually exist that think that the American taxpayers should foot the bill to house people like this for the rest of their lives .

Is he insane? You'd better believe that his lawyer will say he is.
