But, I never chose to force anything down a child's throat. You are the one advocating circumcision without a child's consent.

Re: WHO recommends male circumcision

The problem is, doctors look at it like it is the appendix. When in fact it is a very pleasurable and functioning part of a sex organ. Good luck finding many grown men with a foreskin who are willing to give it up. Why do the Jewish consider it a sacrifice to god? because it's the best part.

I feel sorry for those of you who had the most sensitive part of your penis cut off when you were a baby and had no choice about it. The good news is you will never know what you are missing.

Just seriously consider what you are doing to your son and research the issue. Don't count on the medical community to tell you what to do here in the US. They are very ignorant about foreskins. Mothers with Natural sons have to watch nurses and pediatricians like a hawk or they will forcibly retract the foreskin and cause scar tissue to form which can lead to hardening of the foreskin and possible infection.

When all of the medical benefits are questionable as are the risks of keeping your penis intact. You have to wonder if this whole argument is just grown men with a snipped dick trying to rationalize what has happened to them.

Wow I never knew circumcision was so widespread in america. I only know one fried of mine who is circumcised (we always said he was missing something). And I've seen quite some people in the showers at sports matches and school and never saw anyone else.

And I do suspect that being circumcised reduces sexual pleasure though I cant know for sure ofcourse.

Re: WHO recommends male circumcision

Personally, If I could go back in time an make the choice myself, I'd still want to be circumcised. The medical benefits outweigh the perceived fact that "it doesn't feel as good." Hell. If I want it to feel good, I have no problem doing so without foreskin.

Re: WHO recommends male circumcision

What medical benefits?

Those that would actually impact you, of course.

It is so widespread in america that when boys/teenagers see uncircumcised, they think there is something wrong.
In images (medical books), you see the circumcized. That is to say elementary medical books (the ones your mother has in case of emergencies).

It is ashame how America has become sensitized to male genital mutilation.
Its sick and needs to be stopped. I'm disappointed that WHO would condone it.

The only benefit is not medical. It "looks better". Just because of conformity.

That benefit can easily change when the people stop doing it.

I can imagine not having one and I can say, no thank you.

Re: WHO recommends male circumcision

well, if I end up having male children someday, they will be circumcised.

My son was when he was just a few days old. He neither remembers it nor has he ever stated that he wishes he wasn't.

As for appearance, it's all in what you're use to seeing. Neither of my husbands were circumcised and it didn't bother me. (Personally, I don't think the penis is exactly the most attractive thing anyway!)

Your choice. I think you're wrong, but I wouldn't advocate for anything to prevent you from making that decision.

That is why I like you man. You disagree, but not to the extent where you think everyone should be made to think and act like you; unlike some others. You are good people in my book.

Yes! Another one fooled!

I guess I just realize that I can't possibly have all the answers. Frankly, I don't want to. It'd take all the mystery out of life.
