Perhaps you haven't been paying attention. Every person trying to justify the situation has referred to the nooses as "merely a joke" or "just a prank". Perhaps you can enlighten me as to why so many individuals in The South think making allusions lynching people is so hilarious?

Do you honestly think a few school officials claiming the nooses were an "adolescent prank" speaks for "so many" in the south? If so, your ignorance of the area is deeper than I originally thought.

I'm sure she could try, but she doesn't know everyone living in the South, and for that matter, neither do you.

MyDD :: Memo to Jena: Nooses Are More Than a Prank

One after the other, and then another, they consistently thought the nooses were just a prank and felt we all had the wrong impression of the people of Jena.
Just a few officials? Looks like the majority of the town of Jena. And judging by your dismissive town I'd say many wight southerners.

By looking at the views of many in a small town in Louisiana with a population of less than 3,000, it is reasonable to say the people of the southern states think the white kids are heros. But, of course.

LOL You cite a blog as a credible source???? Try ABC News: Locals Dispute Growing Story of Jena 6
Even if a few of the less than 3000 people of Jena feel that it was a harmless prank, they still don't speak for the entire south. Why not just admit that and move on?

Some will never face facts because they prefer to remain ignorant. Such is the case with Ajax.

Re: Jena 6

Everybody is a little racist.

And the "South" is perceived as being more racist by people who live elsewhere.

And to me that is as prejudiced as saying that black men are more prone to violence and criminal behavior.

1) Do you have evidence of this claim?

2) If it is true are the criminal records of covicted blacks comparable to the white convicts?

3) Were the demeanors of the black defendents comparable to those of the white defendents during trial (I.E. Remorse etc...)

Like the anti-white racist black supremacists (white and black) who focus on a noose (Symbol that hurts the feelings of blacks) instead of a young white kid who was viciously assaulted by a gang of blacks?

I hear racism from non-white people all the time.

Like yesterday, I was at Starbucks and seated at the table next to me were 3 ladies of african lineage who were talking about going to all black clubs and some other girl who is just a white bitch. But they talked with impunity knowing no one will make a fuss. What's the harm?

So it is clear, racism is not offensive unless it is white on black.

And incidents of racism will not become media circuses unless they happen in the South.

The most racist people I encounter are whites who demonise other whites yet defend every minority they can possibly defend.

Go to any national media page and look up entries for the Duke Lacrosse rape case; then search for the names Christopher Newsom and Channon Christian. These two were white college students raped and murdered by a gang of blacks in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Tell me which case made the most news from your search results...

Jena is a microcosm of The South and everything the region represents. I understand why you are trying to deny these opinions, but I hope you understand that the area's reputation didn't just spring up overnight.

Have you ever lived in the south?

You know what makes me shake my head in amazement? This white kid was beaten viciously by a gang of black thugs but for some reason the 'prank' of hanging soome nooses on a tree is taking center stage here...

Anti-white racists on USPOL? Could be....
