Perhaps because the former one has a massive precedent in your country, while I am not exactly aware of the latter having one in the US. And by massive precedent I mean lots of dead people.

I would think the difference is that there isn't a history of euthanizing Christians at least in this country while lynching has a long and horrible history. That and the fact that Christians are the majority rather than the minority. I do think that the sign is in bad taste but I'm willing to bet that the person that made it wouldn't really advocate doing such a thing as real policy while lynching has in fact been seriously put into practice and some still wouldn't mind going back to those days.
