Well yes. And as I said, we're just plain stupid for allowing this.

Because we're stupid and allow it. Can we find another country that allows this ?

No.

You say:

..laws should be enforced on that, instead of simply ignored as is often done.

And you're right. What should scare the HELL out of ANY conscious American is that its not just the LAWS that are being ignored, its part of our founding DOCUMENT:

Article IV, section 4 of the U.S. Constitution says;

The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union, a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion.

Not only does our GOVT. ignore this but "we the sheeple" do TOO.

What else can be said ? We're stupid ?

That would especially be the case with anyone born and raised here. Such people would be no less willing to leave or stay out than you would be. Instead, though, now the nation would just have more illegals rather than citizens who can avoid making their status other people's problems besides their own. Remember, people born here never jumped a fence. They are natives. Thus, the birthright citizenship argument is just a totally pointless exercise unless the root and real problems are fixed properly.
The above will NOT be done. That being: proper border control and a sensible immigration policy.

And

the root and real problems WON'T be fixed. Until the problem becomes so big that it cannot be ignored no matter WHAT.

That's because the root and real problems are that the people running this country are so tangled and enmeshed in a useless, mindless bureaucratic system and they can accomplish NOTHING.

"We the people" are at war with ourselves and our govt. is at war with itself TOO. These are the reasons little or nothing can be accomplished anymore.

Little or nothing.

I don't want to hear one peep from the GOP candidates on this issue--they have zero credibility on it for far too long and even as we speak given nothing is still done about it--zero. The Dems? They don't want to annoy the Hispanic voters of whom the majority vote Democrat.
Right. Ignoring that many "hispanic voters" that are here LEGALLY want illegal immigration stopped TOO.

Neither "party" will do anything about this.

Neither "party" is/can be sincere about anything.

What we have now is a "do nothing" govt. They talk and talk and talk and do diddly squat.

talk, talk, talk

do diddly squat

talk, talk, talk

do diddly squat

talk, talk, talk

do diddly squat

Here's a new chant for people to march at polital protests and "rallys" with :-)

The Average Joe does not have the money or clout, so they get the shaft--and the bills caused by the well heeled and well connected who want these serfs who like getting the big payoff whilst Joe Average gets the bills. However, I wish enough voters would not be stupid to avoid missing the boat--pardon the pun--on what the real issues are and how to fix them and stop falling hook, line and sinker for all the misdirections and non sequiturs of politicians who want to give them the shaft.
First you say:

It's also not out of stupidity.

Then you say:

However, I wish enough voters would not be stupid...

So, you're saying the politicains are greedy and the voters are stupid.

If you break down greed, IT'S actually stupid TOO.

It's stupidity all around.

Yes, that's what our politicains do today. Talk, misdirect, fool the masses.

Ideas if this will ever change ?

What will it take to CHANGE ?
