I find this hilarious. China is among the most polluted countries on Earth, and there are grave fears being held for the health of visitors and athletes during the Olympics ... and China's solution is to ban smoking in public. Yeah, I guess 'cause all that day-long smog is the haze from all that tobaco ... and all those coal-powers plants that pump gas into the atmosphere has nothing to do with it huh?
I wonder what the opening ceremony will be like, as Australia will very few (if any) athletes marching in the ceremony, and will be represented by officials, for fear that the health and fitness of our athletes will be compromised by prolonged exposure to the air. In fact, our team won't be arriving in China until two days prior to the games.
