Just curious... can they legally fire him? I mean teachers in Massachusetts where I live are protected, but are they protected there? I wonder what would happen to the who kid brought a magician for show and tell....

I think that this teacher who was fired for "wizardry" would not have been fired if those placed in authority over him had been more supportive of said teacher. Along with the fired teacher I think should go the school's other representatives for not protecting and standing behind those they are SUPPOSE to supervise. Supervision is held as responsible in these situations (ridiculous or not), and this one could have been handled much more appropriately in my opinion. If this school's supervision cannot even handle an issue as mild as this, what will they do when a serious issue arises? Also, teachers have a difficult job as is, why should they be punished for foolish causes?
