I said to him do you feel any less loved because your queer? Do I run around all day mentioning that I'm heterosexual? Sometimes worrying around the race card "like oh I can't give in" is just as bad as being racist. Don't let the issue "own" you.

Re: Does this ass make my truck look big?

I was flying to Kansas City last week and I sat next to a 55-60 yo black lady. It turns out she is a judge in Dallas. She brought up politics and told me she was voting for 0bama and that she thinks 0bama is getting blamed for everybody else's failings. She later told me how she had a fellow judge dismiss a speeding ticket for her. I gave her a piece of my mind about 0bama and fixing traffic tickets. I wonder if she thought I was a racist for not liking 0bama. When she went to the lavatory, the guy sitting next to me wanted to high five me. That was wierd.

If you have to say "it's been done to white people, too!" then you gave in to the race card.

I agree that the bumper sticker is not racist; however, given the VAST and LONG history of black people being described and caricatured as monkeys and apes... I can very easily see how someone would see Obama being referred to as a chimp as being racist. I would not call that being over sensitive or playing the race card at all.

Well there are shorter or more effecient terms like "whiners" that come to mind...but you're right in one sense. I mean if Israel continues to re-iterate that we cannot allow another holocaust to take place and as and when we have to invade Iran to prevent it, whilst you wouldn't support the war, you'd understand right? I mean, given their history...

The "coming out of the closet" mentality as you put it isn't at all about feeling loved. It's about just being out there and not hiding. 50 years ago when very few people came out; a person could be fired, evicted and even jailed just for being homosexual. It took people willing to risk everything and come out before things could change. When everyone thinks they don't know a minority.... they really don't care what happens to that minority. It takes realizing that your neighbor, your doctor, your brother is a member of that minority before most people will acutally care about what happens to that minority. Sad but true.

My black stepfather you to get pissed when people stared at us (mixed racial family). I had a out of the closet mentality about it as both my white and black friends found it odd. Eventually I developed a fuck it attitude about it. Some people are never accepting and never will be. You can't let it rule your life ... you need to be comfortable in your own skin. So if my cousin couldn't relax around his whole family and just be himself ... who the fuck would he ever relax around?

Simply put "fuck what other people think" and start relaxing ... not worrying about all the uptight people in the world. You can never change how others think about you ... you can only change yourself.

Thankfully, I heard many blacks complain about him but I wonder if they've got the kahunas to cross the party line in the next election...I seriously doubt many will. Hopefully, enough whites who previously voted for him will be fed up enough to cast an "anyone but Obama" vote.
Obama is a maggot AND a piece of shit - oh yeah racist ... blah blah blah -

But this racist wants Herman Cain to replace King dumbcocksuckershitobama next year.

I guess I'm just a confused racist - maybe I'll figure out how to be a good racist one day.

Report me to attackwatch. Oh, fuck you Barack, you're a stupid ass.

LOL I'm thinking about getting one and putting it on her car while she's in the bar...it'd be a good practical joke!

To the rest of us, but she'd see it as a hate crime by the sounds of it - last thing we need is her wasting police time when she complains...

You're probably right...at least when I made bumper stickers that said "I love gay porn" and put them on the trucks of three of my friends, they laughed about it...

Its a good idea though, and if anything the best way to rile her up even more is probably just to encourage everyone who parks in her eye line and sight to put it on their own cars, it'd likely make her wanna scream.

Unfortunately, it's been shown that there are plenty of people who truly believe that, if you disagree with Obama, you're a racist. These people, for the most part, are complete mental midgets, and should be dismissed.

And then there are those who simply cry "racism" because they are simply unable to present a position which is rooted in logic, reason and facts. They should also be dismissed.

To be fair, its often a very liberating feeling being able to talk openly about yourself if you're anything aside from what the perceptual norm is.

And people do go around announcing your heterosexuality, perhaps not in that direct a way, but it's still announced. A woman talking about her husband and son is announcing that not only is she probably heterosexual, she's had sex at least once in her lifetime.

When I started coming to terms with being polyamorous, it wasn't something I felt comfortable discussing in public because it got such a negative reaction (usually after I explained it). I couldnt talk about my relationships because doing so would have announced that I was not monogamous to others and they would have reacted negatively. When I got to a point where I felt comfortable talking about it openly, it was a very freeing feeling not to have to constantly censor yourself.

Additionally, we need to consider that what we might call "flaunting" is actually the same kind of talking patterns that most of us engage in every day but because most of us are heterosexual, it doesnt trip any red flags as being odd. We discuss subjects that bring up our sexuality, even in passing, pretty frequently but we dont accuse each other of "flaunting" our heterosexuality because we're used to talking like that.

Little off-topic, but I just wanted to make that distinction.

As for the OP, the discrimination card is a favorite trick for any side. Criticize Israel around Republicans and someone will pull the "anti-Semitic" card on you. Criticize Kent Hovind around a group of Evangelicals and someone will probably accuse you of being "anti-Christian." It's a favorite because it works; the vast majority of people are NOT hugely discriminatory people and we live in a society where being accepting is DRILLED into you from a very early age so there is a natural reflex to stay away from anything that could make you look prejudiced. The accusation of being prejudiced is, like being called an addict, extremely difficult to fight because it's entirely subjective and the view of others is what makes you prejudiced. You can sputter and deny it, but that looks like trying to lie your way out of being caught.

I tend to ignore the accusation. Unless you have something overwhelming to quickly respond (IE: Being accused of being anti-Semitic while actually being Jewish), engaging it generally side-tracks a discussion which is another reason it's used; if you can attack the person making a claim then their claim becomes invalid, at least in most people's minds.

As much as this complaint comes up, I have a hard time actually finding very many of these people. I don't debate that they exist, but I don't think there's a massive movement to call any opposition to Obama racist and I don't see any real solid indication that this is the case.
