Yah I looked at some kids videos explaining science ... it was to much effort ... since you wouldn't grasp or watch them anyway.

A sperm cell and an egg cell would fit this definition.

Living sperm and egg cell combos are living and constantly grow into adult humans. That's how human reproduction works traditionally.

Actually zygotes are growing into adults. Sperm are what get cleaned up after sex.

Some of them do. And some zygotes end up being miscarriages and thrown into a waste bag, having never developed the ability to act or function independently.

Unless the sperm are the ones inside the woman next to the egg cell. Then one of them might fertilize the egg and might end up, along with the egg, developing into something with the ability to act or function independently. That's what your latest definition requires, no?

Actually that wouldn't be "might" but did. Zygote is an elimination of might and an example of did.

I guess you're determined to ignore the "or can develop" part.

Regardless, the answer to your question is yes. Zygotes need a women but not necessarily any specific woman and I suppose it's scientifically possible to create artificial fallopian tubes, etc. Certain conditions undoubtedly have to be present but that's no different from any other living organism.
