If legal marriage is not a right it shouldn't be extended selectively. All citizens form society and some of those are gay.

All entitlements are extended selectively, e.g., WIC, drivers license, social security benefits, etc.

Thing is, the lives of people were valued before we could identify zygotes in the womb and before we could test for DNA to identify humans, and even before we knew about DNA. Arguing that a zygote is a person in the sense of an adult human and that we should give it the same rights, rights that were historically given to adults for totally different reasons, is ridiculous. A zygote is inherently no different from a sperm cell and egg cell next to each other moments before fertilization.

But of course I don't expect people who watch and believe stupid shit like the kind posted above to understand the science behind it.

A zygote is not a baby. "Baby" generally means "infant." I don't morally equate the two because they are not at all the same, morally, practically or scientifically.
