If I were a drill Seargent and every last cotton picking citizen under 65 was draftd into service I would address and indoctrinate them as follows:

"You are all "at the moment" now lower then whale shit in the ocean".

"You have no rights and privleges other than those granted by myself and the Lieutenant".

"If you fail to grasp this fact you will peel endless amounts of potatoes, do laps around the drill field ...

If we were able to stand way back observe and fix in out minds a moving panoramic view of happenings in time in fast forward frames we might have a better understanding of the journey we have taken and where it has led us.

To some degree we can do just that at least for the period after WWII through the current day by examining pertinent communications and events in chronological sequence.
