Hitting the mid 70s seemed to be the start of real deterioration in respect to thinking about adventures and then carrying them out. ( a hard fact to accept)

I have always looked at life as an adventure and have for the most part had the good fortune to be able to live (unlike Walter Mitty) that which I dreamed of.

Now at 81 and a widower it appears the spirits willing but the body suffers an energy brownout limitation ...
