Evolution of a Republican

Posted 08-28-2009 at 01:26 AM by skeptic1
A successful Republican was walking down a very crowded street in New York City and suddenly noticed a fellow had fainted or been struck down and lay directly in his path. Late for an appointment without hesitation or beaking stride he stepped on the fellow and continued his progress.

A Democrat was aghast at what he had witnessed caught up with the fellow and read him the riot act. The Republican agreed he had been somewhat callous and promised to never repeat his action.

The say lightning never stikes twice in the same place but as the Republican made his way back from whence he had come and at nearly the same place he had stepped on the prone fellow he noticed another body on the sidewalk in his path. Remembering the scolding he had received from the Democrat for his last action he (without pause) deftly skirted around the poor fellow and continued on feeling good about his new found compassion.
