Rove will not be charged - mass suicides feared at YearlyKOS

CNN banner headline at the moment: Beaking News: White House senior adviser Karl Rove won't be charged in the CIA leak case, according to his attorney.

We'll have to wait for details, but I suspect the TruthOut crowd is going to be very disappointed.

Meanwhile, they are confiscating shoelaces and belts at the YearlyKOS gathering...

I wonder how long when someone who shall remain nameless will cry coverup, foul, another investigation, and the CIA/FBI/Illuminati forced the prosecutor to not prosecute Karl Rove.

Re: Rove will not be charged

Ah, one of life's little disappointments.

Karl Rove won’t be prosecuted in CIA leak case, MSNBC, June 13, 2006:

Quote:
WASHINGTON - Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald has informed Karl Rove’s lawyer that he will not be prosecuted in the CIA leak case, NBC News reports.

Attorney Robert Luskin said that special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald informed him of the decision on Monday, ending months of speculation about the fate of one of President Bush’s closest advisers. Rove testified five times before a grand jury.
Sigh. Not terribly surprising, but disappointing nevertheless.

On the other hand, it means one less person for Bush to pardon.

I didn't find any confirmation about the fear of mass suicides, tho. Must just be partisan hype (or perhaps hope?) from the right.

We call it humor. You may have encountered it before.

OK, admittedly bad humor, but there it is.

I am surprised that this is a "minor" disappointment. I recall reading here that this was going to be a whole domino line, leading right up to Darth Cheney himself.

So far, we've got one domino and confirmation that the next one won't be knocked down.

I would think this would be pretty upsetting to a certain segment of our posting population.

Well culture of corruption has been put on ice, right next to Jeffersons cash.

now what?

judging from the reaction to the tropical storm, and Clinton coming out blaming Bush for the hurricanes, and Gores movie, my guess would be to hope for some cat 5s to destroy peoples lives, so they can at least blame that on the GOP.

It might just be the boost they need

Well that blows. I guess I wont be having a Rove indictment party after all. Its ok, I'm still waiting for my Bush impeachment bash in '07.

Nope...some of us mortals actually believe justice will be served.

I agree, hopefully now we can investigate Wilson and find out why he put us through all this.

Cant beleive your not he least bit upset that you were lied to and led down a dead end road. Instead your more than willing to run with them down the next one.

Truly pathetic

One suspects it will be every bit as successful as your Rove indictment party.
