I hope your feeling humiliated. I hope it burns your cheeks and makes your heart race. Then I hope you get over it and think next time. You make me angry but you worry me more than anything. I worry that you'll be ostricized here and find some skinhead/stormfront/Islamofascist group that accepts you just for being a follower and a non-thinker. That's pretty much all it takes.

Re: 9/11. A pictorial/comment tribute.

Today is a reminder that we are ALL under attack by radical jihadists.

Doesn't matter if you're a conservative, liberal, democrat, republican or independant.

Radical jihadists, MUST be defeated.

Things aren't always as they might seem to be. People really should learn to look deeper and don't make assumptions; learn to ask questions before jumping to conclusions.

Thanks for finding the additional information.

Thanks Tim. She was a sweet Irish immigrant making her dreams come true in NY as a successful broker. She was also a wildly social type who was due to be married to her fiance in Venice, Italy, three weeks following September 11.

She was in the WTC in 1993 when it was first attacked. I had good conversations about that with her whilst she was alive. She kept her suit--which was damaged by soot--as a remembrance of that event for which she was grateful to have survived. The bomb did not collapse the tower in 1993 as intended, but it did kill six.

According to reports, she was helping panicked people find their way out of the tower, using a cool head to show them how to do it given her prior experience in 1993 using the staircases out. No trace of her body has ever been found. I'm lucky in the sense that I had two other cousins working at the WTC who did not die, and the same can be said for an Anglo-Irish cousin of mine last year who along with thousands of others was on an earlier train in London before her tube was bombed. And as much as Ann herself did not make it the second time, I take with pride that a few people have directly credited her for saving their lives. In that final crisis she did what was in her character to do. Her years were fun and accomplished, and she was a lover of people. In the end she helped others preserve their life itself in exchange for her own. There can be no regrets about that.

That's neato.

I'll say it again: Apparently what I said went right over your head.

Gad, why do I have to repeat myself for you ?

But you'd be happy to have me humiliated and have "my heart race"

You're going to have to pull off a better performance than that to humiliate me :-)

Keep on dancing now :-) You're humiliating SOMEONE LOL

I'm off to join stormfront now

Since I can't think so good

She was, thank you. Here is her profile memorial:

It puts life in so many perspectives to review it, especially posted comments from one of my other cousins who survived there as I read them posted there:

Your family all misses you but we make the best - because you were a tough cookie and enjoyed life and a laugh and we won't let this place get us down. Cheers to you Ann! Thanks for being a good cousin and setting that tone.

Thanks for sharing. So many heros that day and so many regular folks that were heros to their loved ones long before that day...

No, your right.
I guess I blew a gasket when LMS showed the airport American Airlines Flight 11 was to land and a mother collapsed as her and her husband found out. They were there to pick up there 7 year old daughter visiting her grandparents.

It's a terrible, terrible shame what happened that day. I'm sure we both agree on that and I see little reason to take it any further at this point. You and I might be polar opposites in politics, Hank, but the one thing we're equal on is we're both Americans and we both hurt tremendously because of the events of 9/11.
