What’s left of the plane hitting tower 1 on the roof of an adjacent building.

My thread, take a hike. I‘m pissed right now at those who really don‘t have any respect for this happening.
I guess that is the difference between you and me Hank. You hate freedom (the First Amendment, in this case), I don't.

Re: 9/11. A pictorial/comment tribute.

Now this is poetic justice.
The World Trade Center going to kick the terrorists ass.

With a year to go before it even touches the water, the Navy's amphibious assault ship USS New York has already made history. It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.
It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.
Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, La., to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept. 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."
Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up."
"It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."
The ship's motto? - 'Never Forget'

Is that cool or what?

Hit the mute button if the song bothers you.
Agreed. That’s what they tell us when we complain about our children’s access to horrible filth on television.

Quiet, Hank. Have some respect.
Somebody always has to lower these memorials with politics. Shame on you Hank.

Who gives a fuck, Hank? If you have any sort of humanity, you'll be able to set aside politics for just a moment and realize this day for what it is. A day where we all suffered tremendous loss. Republicans died that day, democrats died that day, liberals died that day, conservatives died that day. Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands and wives died that day. Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists died that day. Blacks, whites, Asians, middle easterners, Hispanics died that day. Rich, poor, middle class died that day. Americans suffered, no matter who they voted for, no matter what they believe, we all lost something that day. You trying to bend it into something political makes you no better than a conspiracy theorist.
Dudes, chill. I'm sorry. it was just kind of a personal observence. I mean you have to admit. The government refrencing God with country would normaly have it's own thread around here.

My thread, take a hike. I‘m pissed right now…
Like you, sir. Your politicizing of this throws dirt in the face of everyone who succumbed on that horrible day. This is an ultimate low for you, Hank, you should be terribly ashamed of yourself.

I came into this thread expecting a tribute to the unfortunate fallen, but instead found you standing on a soapbox made of the dead, exploiting this terrible tragedy to meet your political ends.
I’m sorry what???
I really think you guys are over reacting. Hearing those songs I haven’t heard in oh so long with a tear in our presidents eye just set me off.

Re: 9/11. A pictorial/comment tribute.

I’ll never forget one thing about that day. The difference in peoples reactions at work.
I was doing some wielding in the shop when the news came in over a rock station I listen to. It said a plane had struck the World Trade Center with no details yet. I was thinking small plane and turned to news radio. The reports were coming in on it being a commercial airliner so I said to a co-worker,” Yo, Matt. (No not him.) Check this out. An airliner crashed into the WTC and tower 1 is on fire.” Going back to wielding I heard the reporter freaking out reporting, “Oh my god oh my god, No no no. (Kinda got my undivided attention at this point.) Another plane has crashed into the 2nd tower!
I didn’t have a cell phone so I went into the conference room and called my wife to pick up the kids at school and buy a few cell phones so we all have one on us at all times. I turned on the television and sat at the conference table alone watching events unfold. A report came in about the Pentagon being in flames and fighter jets being scrambled. It was weird. No one seemed to care about watching it. Even when a suicide bomber flew a plane into a sky scraper in our own town of Tampa they didn‘t seem to care.

Agreed. You should always complain to the guardians who are watching over your children if they are incompetent to the point of being unable to understand that they can simply not allow the kids to watch certain channels.
