You don´t think putting him to death will make him a beacon? And before you go all "No, now all the insurgents are gonna shit their pants at the sight of US power".... how´s that working for you so far?

Believe me, the guy is scum. I´m just against the death penalty and feel it´s an easy way out for him. He should be thrown in a dark hole and we should throw the key away. Then he could sit there and rot, knowing that he´d never see the light of day ever again.

Re: Saddam Sentenced to Death

Sunnis and Shias are already dividing on the death sentence, but what can you expect from the Sunni-Shia Civil War.

Re: Saddam Sentenced to Death

i like how the un is fast to bark that iraqs decision to execute is wrong but they wont coem in and help with troops to make the country more stable.

I hate how all scream what others should do but they are hollow words.

The reason Moon started the thread was to claim that "we are the guilty ones" not Saddam!

The nerve of Saddam supporters is astounding. Hussein isn't coming back ever again. Tell the suicide bomber freaks to get over it. Saddam isn't going to be around to support the Terrorist's barbarism.

Saddam is through and finished.

I am opposed killing someome as a sentence for a crime. Even if it is Hussein.

It's fucxking deplorable and not something that should be done in a civilized society IMO.

That only makes society as sick as he was.

I know it, it's like the sentencing of 50,000 or so Babies to death by the Roe vs Wade crowd and the Planned Parenthood Death squads! Is that what you mean??

I think a decent way for him to meet Allah would be to be Hung, only just off the ground, where enough weight was supported to keep from choking! He could stand there for Hours in the square like that, before the Trap Door was sprung!!

I believe in Equal Opportunity Torture, and the final springing of the trap door, should be done by a Woman whose Family he tortured and killed!!

One thing that would be more pleasent than seeing Saddam Dangle in the Wind, is to have TRAITOR Ramsey Clark right next to him the Liberal Legal whore and Anti-American scum!!!

Yep, same thing basically. The most relevant difference is that PP death squads do it in our country.

So it is not only morally reprehensible, but according to US law it is murder.

That is sadistic.

What if they don't want to spring that door?

I think moon is speaking for himself when saying "We've been found..." Because he sure the hell isn't speaking for me.

Re: Saddam Sentenced to Death

Make him a martyr? Maybe. But he still deserves a punishment befitting his crimes.

That sounds good. Although the crime rates suggest otherwise. I hate it when the facts are in line with the truth. Don't you?

Re: Saddam Sentenced to Death

maybe some in this administration are breathing a sigh of relief. whew! one more person with information about our corrupt dealings in the 80's and 90's is out of the picture. there's no doubt about it. they should keep him alive so he can divulge everything he knows about US dealings in the region and live as a clear example of what happens to friendly dictators once they disobey washington (and how terrible foreign policy decisions always come back and bite you on the ass) what a joke! he would be much more useful to the world if kept alive.
