Anyone hear the news? 23 US soldiers dead already and it's only the 10th of November... any thoughts? Will the Democrats be able to turn things around? If so, how quickly? If not, explain your reasoning...

I think it was more like they would pressure the President to fix his mess with better ideas. The Dems are not the commander in chief. You know this so why would you make a post that makes it seem like the Dems have power over the military? That seems like partisan propaganda to me.

Rich, I would have had more confidence in that group had it actually spent anytime in Iraq. As I understand it they did not spend much time, if any actually in the country seeing things first hand. How the hell can you get a good idea of what needs to be done without that, or at the minimum with just a quick trip in and then right back out again.

I agree with Matt on this. The Republican ideas are basically let just win with no real particulars, but the Dems don't have much more to offer other than lets leave and declare it a victory

As far as I know, democrats promised to force Bush to change the course. Anyway, anyone who seriosly thought the democrats would fix Iraq in 5 days certainly has gotten something wrong.
