Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair
I see where you're going and I can accept that.....but many times when war isn't broken out, someone had to swallow a big load....That's the way it is.

Or both sides swallowed. Compromise is the key. It doesn't seem Bush is willing to compromise and therefore, we are fucked.

Would you agree to wear a burkha and never argue with a man, in order to have peace with Islamic fanatics? I submit to you that some things cannot be compromised. Matt

I believe there is a time and a place for compromising, and then there is a time for action.

Comprimise of US policy on non-negotiation with Iran? That is a different story entirely - and apparently about to happen (though Georgie is kicking and screaming and throwing a tantrum - "but daddy, I don't want to!"). |

Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair
You've made it difficult lately Matt with your partisan attacks. Your posts aren't discussions, they are jabs.

You said we must talk peace with our enemies and compromise. I asked what compromise you would make with OBL. Mad Michael then jumped in with an irrelevant comment about Iran. Pray tell, what part of that was a "partisan attack"? Matt

Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair
I think I understand where Bush is coming from. I mean, he does have a point. HOWEVER, I do think that talks first would be the most logical. If that doesn't work, then we can cut them off like we did N. Korea. What a mess.

I agree, but doesn't that conflict with all the flowery quotes you posted? Matt
