Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair
It's amazing how many of you sound like 1930s Europeans. Iran is the next Nazi Germany in the making and they aren't shy about it. So many people have learned nothing from history.

So, could we say the Iranian people support their leader like this? Does he polarize them like Hitler? Should we do something to try and change the Iranian people's view of the West, as impossible as it seems? Certainly we cannot appease, that is an evil word, and we know where that got Chamberlain, and I think this is where you are drawing the comparison from right? If so I agree, we cannot give in and allow Iran or any similar state to dictate what is done. But negotiation should happen. Some diplomatic efforts need to be made first. Otherwise it is like going to an AA meeting talking about sports, tv, politics, anything but alcohol. It is very difficult to solve a problem without including the problem.

Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair
When Iran starts armed invasions of it's neighbors and executed ethnic groups in mass then you can make that comparison. Hasn't happened yet though so it doesn't apply.

How on earth did the people of the US vote for this buffoon in the first place? Ummm! That's right, they didn't! My apologies to sincere Republican voters.
