Re: Cracks in united front between Bush and Blair

It's amazing how many of you sound like 1930s Europeans. Iran is the next Nazi Germany in the making and they aren't shy about it. So many people have learned nothing from history.

You have evidently turned a blind eye to the existing state of fascism in the Middle East. Don't worry, first sign of Iranian fascism and it will be noted. None evident as yet though, unless you have some credible source ?

Comprimise of US policy on non-negotiation with Iran? That is a different story entirely - and apparently about to happen (though Georgie is kicking and screaming and throwing a tantrum - "but daddy, I don't want to!").
And sometimes all that is necessary to have a compromise is for one, or both, sides to STOP BEING SO PIG-HEADED.

Not arguing with you, Iran is dangerous, but in what ways? A major reason for Nazi Germany was that the entire blame for WWI was given to the Germans. They were made to feel like crap, scum, worthless (as their money), no one liked them. This created an ideal environment for Hitler to do what he did best. Rally people. All of sudden he is telling Germans to be proud, to not be repressed by guilt and repartations. We all know the level it reached and it gave Hitler great support. He may have been fascist but it was fairly easy to get there given the British and French were still blaming them and making them pay so dearly for it.

So, could we say the Iranian people support their leader like this? Does he polarize them like Hitler? Should we do something to try and change the Iranian people's view of the West, as impossible as it seems?

Certainly we cannot appease, that is an evil word, and we know where that got Chamberlain, and I think this is where you are drawing the comparison from right? If so I agree, we cannot give in and allow Iran or any similar state to dictate what is done. But negotiation should happen. Some diplomatic efforts need to be made first. Otherwise it is like going to an AA meeting talking about sports, tv, politics, anything but alcohol. It is very difficult to solve a problem without including the problem.

When Iran starts armed invasions of it's neighbors and executed ethnic groups in mass then you can make that comparison. Hasn't happened yet though so it doesn't apply.

LOL its a game!

Tony Blair said on C-span

"The Anglo-American Establishment" by Carroll Quigley.
Written by Bill Clinton's mentor, Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University, this book remained unpublished for 20 years because no major publisher dared print the true story of the secret society that set out to dominate the world and ultimately came to control both England and the United States.

You know this bizzo re Bush calling himself a "War President" reminds me of a rabid right wing author in the Sci-Fi genre called Terry Goodkind. In Goodkind's series, which is called "Sword of Truth", he has a protaganist, Richard, who calls himself a "War Wizard". When I first heard Bush calling himself a "War President" I was staggered! Bloody Hell! I thought, he thinks he's Richard with his Sword of Truth! What a dork!

How on earth did the people of the US vote for this buffoon in the first place? Ummm! That's right, they didn't!

My apologies to sincere Republican voters.
