I'm in the mood for sloppy joe's. I don't know what it is about discussing torture that makes me hungry.

As for This is the reason the rest of the world thinks Americans are arrogant, it seems a bit extreme to blame 300 million people for this. That seems to be taking anti-Americanism too far, even for you.

Well, somebody's flayed skin does like ground beef with a little bit of sauce added.

In leftolands an individual is not allowed to leave without permission. An individual is tacitly considered to be property of the State. And since individuals are nothing but property they can legally torture you all they want. Quote:
Any site called USPoliticsOnline is naturally going to attract alot of anti-American zealots. And of course many from outside the US will try to pass themselves off as American.

Re: Maher Arar given $10mil for being sent by US to Syria for torture
The guy's name basically showed up on some list, but aside from that, that's all the authorities had. America had him extradicted from Canada and sent to Syria on not only faulty intelligence, but no intelligence. That's why Canada has had to fork out the dough. The American gov't seldom ever apologizes for it's mistakes; only it's artists do.

Re: Maher Arar given $10mil for being sent by US to Syria for torture
Sorry, I misread that, it was a line about a visit he got from a consul from Canada. However, people are extradited back and forth all the time. It's part of our friendly ties. It's not an order, so much as a friendly arrangement. But they do happen.

They can, to extradite someone applies to both sides as a term
