Well, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales scurried out of his pesthole long enough to drop off a written statement prior to Tuesday's hearing. He admits NO culpability and NO impropriety.

I'm betting a shiny nickel that they rip him a new orifice.

We can also expect that New Mexico Senator Pete Domenici won't be enjoying another term. Whether he resigns or whether he is simply trashed at the polls next year, his unethical interference in the firing of David Iglasias will surely be his undoing.

Don't forget to tune in to C-Span on Tuesday for a dose of REAL Must See TV!

I will... cuz I enjoy watching these hearings on TV in real time and then watching the "liberal" media spin it later...

Poop and Boogers!!

Gonzales chickens out!

But the Democrats are going to put his lying butt on the hot squat come Thursday. I'm not sure I can stand the suspense...

Stripey, 'Hoovervilles' were what the tent and tarpaper shack "cities" of unemployed workers were called during the Great Depression. They were named after unclean Republican president Herbert Hoover who was in office during the Crash of '29 and who couldn't find a way to get the economy back on track. Typical cheap-labor conservative.

It took Democratic president Franklin Delano Roosevelt to remedy the situation...

Re: Republicans Call For Gonzales' Resignation

I don't think our beleaguered Attorney General is going to be holding onto his position much longer. ABC News just came out and called him a bare-faced liar. In large print...

Got a link, HBX? We post links here on THIS thread.

You see, there are a lot of liars who will just make things up if they're allowed to skate...and you don't have a particularly honest fact.

Just bring it, Sport...

Nonsensical!

How can you tell if emails are relevant if you haven't read them?

The idea that they have covert email accounts is illegal and of coursr they knew that.

Now, now, it's only illegal if it's the OTHER GUYS doing it, not when your own guys are doing it. [/sarcasm]

Actually it took WWII but that is for a different discussion

No, I say prosecute any politician who breaks the law.

But this does remind you of erased tapes and Richard Nixon.

BUt to say no relevent information is in emails is crazy, you can't tell unitl you see them and you can't see them if Bush officals are hiding and/or erasing them.

Got news for you, Gortie; we don't do rightwing revisionism on this thread, either. I don't want to confuse you with the facts, but if you take a look HERE, you can see at a glance that the New Deal had successfully brought an upturn in the economic outlook a full TWO YEARS before our entry into World War II.

Try to pay attention, please...

Re: Republicans Call For Gonzales' Resignation

Damn, Angel of Mercy beat me to the punch. I was just getting ready to post some New Deal history, in case people have forgot (or never knew).

Thanks for saving me the time, AoM.
