Saying someones made mistakes is a far cry from calling them stupid. Just because I don't agree with everything he does or says doesn't mean I hold him in any less regard; just that I don't happen to aggree with him on that particular issue.

The no child left behind comment was in response to your comment about people with public education. Bush has put a program into place to "remedy" this system, but by your stance on those with that education, I take it that its not working out too well?

As for Rush....I wont listen to him, I wont listen to anyone like him, conservative or liberal. I look at whats happening with the country, the things that are being done by both Houses and in the White House and I base my opinion on that, not what someone else on the radio thinks about it.

Everyone listens to different opinions, a good portion of people I know happen to be conservatives (I do live in the South), as well as several people here, whom I consider friends.
I don't flip on the radio or TV and say "Well, that settles it, I feel this way". Whether or not I even intend it, I'm always hearing different views.

I'll say this, I have a habit of listening to people who offer respect, and don't jump to telling me things about myself which aren't true.

I know plenty of academicly brilliant people who can hardly get 2 words out of their mouths/have no social skills or are appauling speakers and are completely out of touch with reality

In fact most of the strangest people I met were very academicly bright but just can t handle reality.

Some people are not academic and have no degree at all but they have carisma and common sense. thats what get them through life.
