Gasp! What an insight!! You know what? Let's just eliminate all taxes. That will result in infinite growth!!!
Seriously if you have nothing relevant to say about the subject we're discussing then why continue?.

How about a source or two? Federal tax revenue as a percentage of GDP reached historic lows after the last tax cuts, which indicates that while transactions may have increased regarding GDP they're due to federal capital injections from deficit spending and resulting economic multipliers. By most any standard that's known as cooking the books to pacify the masses in an attempt to retain consumer confidence, which is 70% of GDP.

Unless you somehow feel USD devaluation is a sign of prosperity, you might consider taking a closer look at the actual results of US fiscal mismanagement rather than depending on white house press releases to advertiser-driven media.

Or better yet, lets not make public policy decisions at all. Get the govt out of the economy. It really doesnt matter whether people feel good or bad, or what the stats show about the economy. Its up to the people to drive the economy, not for the govt to control it.

I love how you can make stats show anything you want if you just change the terms, and eliminate some groups of people.

Of course the stats that tim wants to use to make his point are accurate. Others that challenge him or outright refute it are bogus.

Stats are just stats. We use the same numbers and come to different conclusions.

Very true. Problem is tim, in the same post, is saying his real income assumptions (I assume gathered from stats) are accurate and at the same time saying stats are "irrelevant". Care to respond tim and let us know how your information is gathered?
