Lobbyists and Special Interests Swarm in McCain Campaign

Yet another link to Myanmar junta... Yet another McCain staff... This man is bone, flesh and special interest...

Quote:
From NBC News:
NBC NEWS has confirmed that another McCain aide, Doug Davenport, has resigned because of his lobbying ties to the Myanmar government’s military junta...
Quote:
Marc Ambinder (May 11, 2008) - A Second McCain Aide Resigns
“Doug Davenport, the regional campaign manager for the mid-Atlantic states, founded the DCI Group's lobbying practice and oversaw the contract with Myanmar in 2002. …He joins former DCI Group CEO Doug Goodyear, who resigned yesterday from the post of convention CEO after Newsweek reported that DCI was paid more than $300,000 to represent Myanmar's ruling junta.

“Goodyear and Davenport were recruited by McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, who has been accused by some current and former McCain advisers of take insufficient care of McCain's reformer brand by appointing lobbyists to key positions. Ironically, as Newsweek reported, Goodyear was asked to become convention CEO after Davis's lobbying firm partner, Paul Manafort, was nixed because of his own close ties to foreign governments and controversial companies.”
Barack was right in saying that McCain is not as "purified" as he claims to be. Now this latest resignation shows that McCain campaign is swarmed by lobbyists and other special interest groups.

It is a sad fact that chicken-hawks have been able to produce such a weak presidential material after very successful W.

As McWar gets under more media scrutiny, he will start to miss the old good days when everyone focused their attention into the battle between Hillary and Barack.

Soon the rest of the nation will realize that McWar is more dangerous for the top job as he drags a ton of lobbyists with him whenever he gets.

Quote:
ABC News: McCain's Lobbyist Friends Rally 'Round Their Man
McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates, according to the latest finding from government watchdog group Public Citizen. The group, which advocates for public financing of elections, has identified more than 2,300 well-connected individuals, known as "bundlers," who have solicited contributions from friends and associates on behalf of a presidential candidate.

You're a funny guy.

You continue to fail (and miserably so) to provide any reason to vote for Obama...

Would you care to actually discuss specific issues rather than cheer leading for one candidate in the presidential race over another? I have not picked who I'm going to vote for yet but you are not really helping your candidate any and just annoying everybody on here by clogging up the forum.

That's how young, impressionable libs operate.

They figure if they whine enough, people will adopt their way of thinking. In this case, Sheriff hasn't been able to provide a single reason to vote for Obama beyond "change, hope, and dream".

Hardly compelling...

Re: Lobbyists and Special Interests Swarm in McCain Campaign

you know I'd provide a list of walls st operatives and financiers/lobbyists etc. with unshady dealings int heir past but last time I tried to engage sheriff in debate ala Obamas 3 time flip flop on the war, he and his posse took to the hills....so whats the point?
Besides that, lobbyists every single one of them have a biz deals with someone in the past who has a reputation etc…so I don’t even care about obamas……

There might be a point though sheriff in looking around the forum using the search feature and using other posts that are on this topic to add too, instead of starting another one...

Search and add to an existing thread? No way. That would reduce the "impact" of the B.O. spam campaign.

Interesting Matt. Funny, I don't recall you saying much about "spam" when there were thread after after thread trashing Sen Obama.....

... and now it's "spam" when the guy who claims to be so anti-lobbyist has it pointed out that his campaign is getting lots of money from them and are in fact, there are lobbyists holding key positions within his campaign?

Hmmm... ok, whatever you say...

In the case of the OP, we have a member who does nothing on this forum but start threads about how wonderful Obama is, or how bad McCain is.

68 threads - every single one on the same topics.

Yeah, that counts as SPAM, and it would be SPAM if someone did 68 threads in a row about how wonderful Bush is.

Matt

And of course, Sherriff is the only one that acts that way, correct? I was just imagining the repetitive threads bashing Sen Obama, my bad.

Whatever you say guy.

I'm not sure if there are as many but I am sure there isn't even close to as many by the same person.

Re: Lobbyists and Special Interests Swarm in McCain Campaign

Haha, McCain's campaign staff is full of sh*theads advertising the rape of the people of Myanmar.

Guilty, by association. John McCain, I sentence you to five years of hard labour in the acid-mines.

Yes, he pretty much is. If you can identify another member here who has started thread after thread about nothing but Obama bashing, please do.

If not, well, that pretty much answers your question, doesn't it?

Then come up with brightest ideas.

The topic is a last minute NBC News and I thought it is worth to discuss. Why do you participate inthis thread if your intention is to question my intentions?

Not by the same person, maybe, but that's only because you react as a block..

One person posts almost 30 threads about McCain and it is called SPAM.

Ten person each posts 5 threads about Obama and they call this... WHAT?
