Wasn't you lefty's just complaining about the right attacking Michelle Obama (and rightly so) saying that the family of the candidates were off limits?

Didn't Obama get all upset and say "these right wing radio jocks never would say it to my face" then when Hannity invited him everyday from three weeks to talk the issues about Michelle Obama yet Obama only makes idle threats.

But here the left attacks a 16 year old girl saying it was her baby by using a 2 year old picture saying a 6 month old baby was hers just to try and smear her mothers conservative values.

Some of you people on the left are pathetic......

No surprise to find that kind of crap floating there.

And to think, some people here use it as a source.

This story is actually gaining traction. It hasn't gained enough to be reported in the MSM but Andrew Sullivan is now asking the McCain camp for medical records so it can be put to rest.

People are wondering because of the circumstances of the birth. It seems very fishy.

Apparrently Bristol (the oldest daughter) was absent from school for five months with mono. Sarahs water broke in Texas, then got on an 8 hour flight home, then drove 45 min to her home town. It makes it look like the daughter had the baby. No doctor in America would ever let a woman whos water broke board a flight. You are to be immediately admited to a hospital.

I dont care if the 16 year old had a baby. I would care if Palin thinks she can cover something like this up. McCain needs to have the records released so we can move on.

When it came out that Palin had flown home after her water broke, I criticized her for doing so and several on here defended her actions. I spoke from a medical standpoint of the risks she took and some said still couldn't comprehend the dangers and continued to defend her. That being said, though, it's very rare for a 16 year old girl to give birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome. At age 30, a woman has a 1 in 900 chance of carrying a Down's baby but it increases to 1 in 350 by the time she's 35. I'm not by any means saying that it can't happen but considering the rarity of it, I think people are just looking for something that isn't there.
First of all, from the following picture, it's obvious that they're not trying to hide the daughter's belly. Secondly, with low riding pants, anyone with excess weight around the belly will have that "bulge" over the top of the pants.



In this photo, Palin does look pregnant:

If this story should turn out to be true, I would expect Gov. Palin to immediately withdraw as the VP nominee. Like you, I wouldn't care that her daughter had the baby but I would care that her parents were so ashamed that they invented such an elaborate scheme to cover it up.

I too absolutely blasted Palin for having the kid in Alaska, when she could have had the child in Texas and not taken stupid risks flying home. However i do think this is somehwat unlikely (though this sort of thing did happen a lot about a century ago or so when young girls were sent away to have kids and when the kid was born the mother of the mother grandmother of the baby) would claim it as her own).

It would be fun to see this unravel if it was true though...

And they talk about the right being so bad.

In the words of Obama concerning Republicans: "You know how they are, what they are capable of doing!!"

The Republicans can't hold a candle to the nastiness of the left.

If they keep it up it will backfire. So far Obama has enjoyed a sort of immunity to this kind of thing based mainly on the fact that the Republicans have overused this tactic so badly. If both sides now start practicing this kind of idiot mudslinging it gives the whole process a sort of validity and the Republicans are really much better at it (They've had more practice and they have the whole former staff of the Weekly World News, who've all been staunch Republicans ever since the scoop Bush Sr gave them on his Invisible Bodyguard really launched their paper )

Even if they released her records, you'd just claim they were fake, anyway.

While getting on a flight after one's water breaks might not be a smart thing to do, this isn't Nazi germany, Danny. Your doctor cannot command to the hospital.

McCain can't release her medical records, Danny - only she can do that.

And as I noted about, it's probably pointless. The mental midgets on the DailyKos would simply respond by claiming they were fakes anyway.

Also, you call that belly curve excess? I call it hubba hubba, not every 16 year old is Hayden Panetierre

The left uses Congress and the media to sling the mud and Republicans have talk radio.

One is taxpayer funded, NPR, PBS, and Congressional hearings.

The other is by private citizens, Rush, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity.

Who's to say who is better at it.

I don't think there is any real obligation on Palin's part to disprove this tbh. Its unlikely to be true, and i don't think many people will take it seriously or give it enough credence. No credibility at all.
