I see.

You fear the reality of answering to what you have claimed.

I'm not surprised.

Good day.

Re: Palin Speech

From being villainized as a Pentecostal book burner; condemned as a neglectful and hypocritical parent to dismissed as an opportunistic and vacuous beauty queen, the days since her announcement as Senator John McCain’s running mate have been an intense and blistering baptism by fire for Palin. Betraying no subsequent blemishes on her picturesque beauty, the beauty queen-cum-governor-cum-vice presidential nominee comported herself last night with a grace and ease eagerly sought by pageant contestants and deeply envied by politicians.

In the end she left no doubt of her worthiness of her latest title. Clearly John McCain saw that beyond her beauty queen appeal Sarah Palin could readily answer the question of her ultimate qualification for the title of his running mate; her substance and character.

I also don't understand why she's attacking the community organizer bit, that appeals to the base, but aren't church leaders community organizers? Aren't the people they talk about in terms of faith based organisations "community organizers"? I don't get how you can claim you are for faith based community service and then bash community organizers as they tend to be the ones at the forefront of community service groups. Which is it? Is service good or not?

Good Points: The attacks will get undecided independents thinking again, that's good. She sounded decent enough on energy, as she should coming from Alaska. And she told her story well. I am very curious how this plays. It's strong in some ways, but I don't see what kind of productive work the speech is doing to expand the McCain electorate.
No, Americans never really bought that BS about Obama in the first place. Only the Far Right Lunatic Fringe Kool-Aid drinkers did.

And as far as the other point of faith based community organizers, like I've been stating since I joined this board and from well before....the Religious Right is a JOKE and it always has been, they don't care about anything religious or spiritual only votes and rhetoric. Nothing the Republicans stand for is of Jesus' teachings, absolutely NOTHING.

Please, don't talk about Jesus and Republicans. They'll just start jacking-off.

Answered THE QUESTION? She hasn't had to face the media at all. Her substance? She gave the typical religious right platitudes while subtly attacking the Democratic party. A great strategy but that's not representative of substance.

I'm just surprised that people aren't looking at her background to confirm whether or not she could be a good V.P., they're basing their decisions on a speech that was prepared. There's a lot of people who can give a passable speech with enough prep time, especially if an entire team of speechwriters are involved.

Wow! You sound like a Republican. That's exactly what they've been saying about Obama for months. Thanks for agreeing.

How is she corrupt?

Your Kool-Aid-garglin'-pro-Obama-anti-anyone-else bullshit all but renders your opinion moot.

But, please, tell us how she's "corrupt"...

Using the number of people in the room as a barometer for whether or not her speech was worth listening to is fucking retarded. I remember reading once that the Beatles played their first gig to a crowd of six people. Using your special little criteria, that means they weren't worth listening to...

Re: Palin Speech

Her speech was fulled with nothing but insults and blatant lies. You did not hear not once about how they're going to fix the economy (except to drill), education, health care, joblessness, the housing crisis, the war and the minimum wage.

Oh yea, it was media and Democrats fault for being too mean and sexist by questioning her qualification. Boo Hoo . You want to play with the big dogs, then you better suck up the criticism. Everything that has happen happen under the republicans watch, not the democrats. I cant understand how can anyone, knowing these things, can still point their finger to vote for them to be back in office?

Then on top on that has the nerve to insult community organizers. SMH, What by helping the folks in my community thats not consider doing a service for my country? How dare she I would like to see her or McCain come into the poor neighborhoods and tell these people that their work means nothing if you havent served in the military.

Did you notice that every person that spoke at the RNC were rich? At least the DNC had average folks speak about their experiences. Thats how I know that if the republicans are elected back into office, the average person will be forgotten yet again. What a joke those republicans are.

Frankly, I dont care about her family, McCain's war, being a P.O.W, or about other items she'll be selling on Ebay , all I want to know what will they do for me, the average folk, to fix the last 8 years of fuck up after fuck up.

You're joking right! Sarah Palin hit it right on the head with Obama. Stating that Barack Obama wanted to "forfeit" in Iraq, when "victory" was in site. The proof of that is-- Obama voting to cut off funding to American troops on the ground in Iraq--after the surge.

She's also right in stating that the ONLY time the word "victory" has come out of Obama's mouth is when he is speaking regarding his Presidential aspirations.

If Obama & Biden would have had their way, we would have surrendered to terrorists & insurgents two years ago.

Perception of the biased mind.

Nor did I hear about it at the DNC.

Mean is one thing, but sexist from the 'party of tolerance' is laughable in its utter hypocricy. But more so, the sexism is sad because of the backwards attitude it demonstrates. I don't want to go in reverse with any party, much less the hypocritical 'party of tolerance'.

Again, criticism is one thing, when she is criticized for her positions. When she is criticized for being a "bad mother' because she has a job and is seeking another job, while that same criticism is not equally applied to the father, BHO, is a double standard based on sexism. I see no crying from her; she's too tough for that. I do see crying from her opposition with claims of, "boohooo, she insulted me". Suck it up. If you want to go after a tough person, be prepared to take it.

What 'everything'? Do try to communicate more specifically. We don't read minds; we read words.

Here's a tissue. Suck it up. If you can't take it, I would advise you to pick on an opponent who matches your ultra-sensitive nature. It will be safer for such sensitive folks as yourself.

Quote:

Palin's rich? I knew steelworkers made good union wages, but wasn't aware that classifies them as rich. And, I'm wondering how a mayor, then governor for a bit less than two years, with public salaries gets so rich. I did notice many rich folks at the DNC.

Ah, these are the folks you're talking about. I guess you haven't seen all of the RNC, otherwise you wouldn't have made such a silly comment.

Good point. When you find out, let us know. Then let us know what the Dems are going to do for you, too.

It's not my opinion, it's her record. Why do you hard-rightists always, and forgive me, always stink so clearly of fear?

I've given you things to address. If you can't, that's OK.

So, then, you're tired. You admit nothing.

Good luck with Sarah Palin's position.

When it tastes like ass, I'll still look at you, laughing.
