Exactly. We all know the game; its just want game will help us in the end. The rich had their President. Its time to give the common man a voice again.

Yea I bet they're banking on the mother whose salary is close to nothing while prices goes up, the person who have lost their home, a patient who cant get the care they need because their insurance doesnt cover it, the person who cant afford to drive to work... yes, I bet they want these folks to forget. Well, I can say that thats not going to happen.

Since Palin's speech, Obama have raised 8 million dollars. As James Brown would say" What The People Say!"

Ben Smith’s Blog: Political News about Democrats and the 2008 Election - Barack Obama - Politico.com

Before her speech on day one after the announcement of Palin for VP they raked in 7 million.

I wonder how much more they're getting after the speech.

That's the people voicing their opinions with their pocketbooks.

Well call it what you want, she'll never be VP. She has to get through Biden first.

You weren't stating a fact. You don't know what the natural reaction Sarah Palin's family would have.

You believe that Conservatives are bigots, but you show bigotry towards them. It doesn't matter if some people agree with you about this because it is still wrong.

What I've learned about the Republicans, a rock could running for office and the Reps will support the rock. Doesnt matter if it just sits there, as long as it doesnt raise their taxes.

But you would of thought that since he had announced her, they could of raise more money than that. Oh well... Doesnt dampen my parade.

I should of made myself clear: Most conservatives who preach that they are against abortion are full of shit. Because I know that if their percious little girl got knocked up by Donnell they would be quick to get their daughter on that table. Thats is the reality that we live in.

You're right. I dont know what the Palin's family would do if they'd faced that situation, but I'm not going to say they wouldnt take that option.

How am I showing bigotry towards them? I'm relying what I've read by those that say that they're conservative. Ask the members of the CCofC.They're as conservative as they come. Please I've read enough of the bigots statements regarding this issue to know where most of them stand. I didnt deny that it was wrong; but its our reality.

Re: Palin Speech

Well. This has turned into a downright republican bash fest. I'm still unclear how Jason Marcel feels about the speech. Wish he could clear it up.

Anyway... For what it was, I thought she did pretty good. I didn't expect her to go into any detail on issues, as others apparently did. It was her acceptance speech to the RNC. It was not the forum to get into any detail.

After reading through all 18 pages of replies to this thread, what I'm left with is VPILF. Now, THAT is funny. (Thanks, to whoever penned it.)

I guess if people are so willing to throw money away on a empty suit like Obama, the economy must be doing pretty good.

lol...ain't that the truth.

Re the speech: I found the contrast between the humorless, angry, dilletante Obambi and the genuinely happy and authentic Sarah Palin to be quite informative.

The press is being exposed for their one-sided reporting.

I get the feeling that Americans are beginning to feel they've been fooled by the press all of these years.
Again, listen to this news story. It features members of the International Press speaking on the issue.

Hmm. Very common complaint.

They feel those concerns are answered.

The Dems dont run on a fear agenda, it contradicts hope. For me personally the fear agenda makes Americans look silly.

Probably very well. A loved America will get more done and thus make a safer america and world. Are you sure you know what the left thinks?

Hmm, huge is a strange term. marginal taxation is not hurtful to the economy. The 50s and 60s seen much larger taxation and rapid growth. Didnt do so bad in the 90s either.

Weird question. The usual way. How did the left fit into Bush's world? That said, I doubt Obama will bother trying to alienate the right. All he has to do is leave their guns alone and stake out an energy plan and theyll be fine.

Actually, theyll answer them, the trouble is they disagree with many of the assumptions in these questions so it takes time to get past that.

Agreed. For me it really has become a choice between Hope and Fear.
I agree and I'll be DAMNED if I would be caught supporting the party of all fear, all the time.

The moment her under-age daughter went and had sex and became pregnant, the abstinence argument wasnt going to fly anymore. Because we can see all so well how that prevented her daughter from opening up her legs. Therefore since thats part of her political platform, its fair game.
Those kooky Republicans just got...

You need to be educated as to what the age of consent in Alaska is.

Once you do that, you might be in a better position to debate. I, however, refuse to enter into a battle of intelligence with someone who is, clearly, ill-prepared for such a thing...
You seem all to comfortable ignoring proven facts. Damn shame.

Wise choice.

You would be flat-out owned...

All I'm doing is stating facts and my opinions about Palin speech and her hypocrisy.
You're not stating "facts" though when you say her daughter is under age. Under Alaska law, she's not. The law matters, you see. Your "opinion" does not...

Quote:
Look I dont care what the age limit is in Alaska; a 17 y/o isnt ready for a baby and marriage.
When my grandparents married, my Grandmother was 17 years old. When she died, they'd been married 74 years. They had two children; my Dad and my Aunt, both very successful.

Your assertion that a 17 year old is too young for marriage proves to me that you know complete dick...

Quote:
If pedophilia was to become law tomorrow, would it make it ok to rape little children?
How the fuck do you go from talking about someone who is of age in her state to pedophelia?

That's quite a fucked up train of reason you're ridin' on...

Quote:
A liar because she said that even in the case of incest or rape she opposes abortion. Now I know if the father was a nonwhite, her daughter's butt would of been on the table in a flash. So its all BS when it comes to her opposing abortion for any reason.
You know, I think back to when you said you're not trying to debate.

The above quote proves why you shouldn't. You suck at it. What basis do you have to make the statement that, if the father was non-white, she'd have "been on the table".

That's actually quite a racist thing for you to say.

But, hey, you said it, so back it up...

Quote:
I'm not calling her a racist...
Actually, that's exactly what you're doing...

Quote:
Now if you want to respond, fine. If not, that's fine too.
Oh, I'll respond. I love making libs look fuckin' silly...

So, first you make a statement of fact "they would", and then you admit that you don't know what they'd do.

The problem with people like you is that, when you have nothing valid to say, you're conditioned to cry "RACIST" and hope your bullshit sticks.

I don't believe I've ever encountered anyone more hateful and woefully informed as you...

Interesting to see that Repubs are now pro teen pregnancy.

The turn of the Century was a different time Steve. Keep it up though, I hope you voice this opinion loudly and proudly for all American's to hear. Let the people know just how big of a wack job, and partisan your party really is. I mean you really are going to support teen pregnancy now that it's convenient for you? Wow, just wow.
