Re: Palin Speech

Obama couldn't even stand up to Bill and Hillary at his own convention, do you honestly feel he can heal the sick, move mountains, and calm the oceans?

I think he needs to work on the little things first and work his way up to the big things later.

Nope. He thinks he can effect political change. Calming oceans and moving mountains has nothing to do with it. Thats for an actual Messiah.

Re: Palin Speech

I think that you're seeing stuff that isn't there.

Healing the sick? More like universal healthcare.

Slowing the rise of the oceans? Stopping global warming.

Bringing peace? Ending the war in Iraq.

If you don't get this, you belong in the fundamentalist category.

Governmental health care isn't a solution. It is part of the problem.

Stop Global Warming? So Obama's overwhelming personality is enough to stop every country in the world from polluting? He can't get the Republicans to do what he wants. How do you suppose he gets China to do what he wants? Not to mention the simple fact that Global Warming isn't man-made in the first place.

He doesn't need to end the war. We're already doing that. Obama is just trying to claim credit for it.

The war has never been anything more than a political football for Obama. He could care less what happens there, he just wants to use it for his own political advantage.

Why accept this as normal? What you call normal I call dishonest.

Very little of what Obama promises can be done.
Especially by a lightweight like him.

Big promises have been a normal part of politics since the end of the age of lords and kings and the introduction of universal sufferage (which granted was a process rather than an event). Its simply unfair to castigate him for something all politicians have always done and always will do.

Re: Palin Speech

For years, we as a society have condemned ice hockey parents for their over zealous, often violent and out of control behavior. Now all of a sudden it's a badge of toughness? Well, as an NCAA ice hockey, lacrosse, football and volleyball referee, I can attest that ice hockey parents... and in particular... "hockey moms" are absolutely the worst when it comes to over zealoused and biased behavior. Is Palin truly consistent with the family values position of the republican party? If you send me your e-mail address, I can send you some pics of hockey moms at several of my games... some are being led away in handcuffs.

Are you trolling for email addresses?

Unless you have a non-photoshopped picture of Palin misbehaving it's not relevent.

Re: Palin Speech

To my left wing, progressive, liberal folks out there. STOP WITH THE PALIN PERSONAL ATTACKS. It's stupid and she's teflon, people have decided that they "love her" kind of like many of us feel about Obama. So step back. Look at her record as mayor and as Governor and attack her ON THAT. Compare her speeches to her record and attack her ON THAT, this stupid hockey mom crap only helps the Republicans because it keeps the news off of the real issues and on the question of personality and who you "like" more. I don't want this election to be a popularity contest. Ignore these issues. Let the Republicans talk amongst themselves about hockey moms and teenage pregnancies. Our candidate is on the right side of 90% of the issues.

This is somebody been in Congress for 26 years, who put seven of the most powerful Washington lobbyists in charge of his campaign. And now he tells us that he’s the one who’s gonna take on the old boys' network,” he said. “In the McCain campaign that’s called a staff meeting!- Obama, 9/17/2008

Hehe. Fun ain't it?

But it's too late. The liberal left is too undisciplined to follow the Obama game plan.
