Yup, neo-con Nazis.

They sound curiously the same, like all liberal-fascists do. PARTY PARTY PARTY! COUNTRY FIRST! HAIL THE LEADER!

All the shit Giuliani, Romney and Palin spewed tonight was liberal-fascist hate-mongering. "We're the true and only patriots" kind of theme is familiar with Nazis.

Same with never admitting any mistakes or daring to confront any major issue of the day in a substantive way. Just cultish talking points.

We've heard the same Hanoi Hilton story by about 5 or 6 different people so far, all told precisely the same way, with the same inflections.

It's like ever since 9/11, the neo-cons send out their little Nazi memo, and everyone actually repeats the same thing, without any critical thought.

It's deeply troubling and certainly not patriotic.

OH MY GOD! The "purple states" in this country--just went back to solid RED. Palin in her speech tonight, showed that she is a confirmed leader--"she is also like your next door neighbor."

Barack Obama--WHO?

Yeah, sure, a next door neighbor who moves in, and then you invite them over and they criticize your house.

I think that in a pinch anybody can actually serve for confession.

Is she the kind of annoying neighbor with a ton of kids who leaves anti-abortion pamphlets on my front door?

Re: Palin Speech

I do kind of find it funny that this is probably the most important speech of the RNC, just as Clinton's speech at the DNC was much more important than Obama's.

Ha.ha.--I can tell you liberals are "sweating" bullets.
Now, you've resorted to bad-mouthing your neighbors, he.he.he.

Oh hey it's you. Are you still holding to that ludicrous assertion that you once supported Obama?

Re: Palin Speech

Are you kidding me? Palis KICKED A$$ tonight!

Dude, she b!tch-slapped Obama on more than one occassion, pointing out that he has written 2 memoirs while failing to author any legislation as a Senator. Pretty obvious where the Senator's focus has been - ON HIMSELF! If he was half as talented as he thinks he is he wouldn't have to promote himself so hard as the second coming with foam columns, self-made mock Presidential seals, etc!

Palin did an awesome job after the BS slime-soaked media attack against her by the Liberal media!

(Yes, I think it is despicable. Anyone remember how the media was chastised when they made the comment how Hillary was 'pimping' her daughter months ago? Family/kids are off limits - always have been...except when it involves kids of GOP candidates!

I will give Obama credit for being smart, though - he immediately jumped in and said it was despicable, too. After all, Obama doesn't want anyone turning the tables and looking into his family/background. Much was made about Palin's husband's early DUI last week. Obama doesn't want anyone bringing up the fact that while Todd Palin was getting a DUI, according to his own memoirs, at that same time Obama was snorting coke! As far as family goes, I am sure he doesn't want anyone bringing up a certain brother living in a shack...)

That 'hockey mom' hit a home run with all those other hockey moms out there, mothers of troops, and mothers/parents of special needs kids out there! She socked it to the media for their liberal BS, and let some air out of Obama.

Obama made the comment recently that his run to/for the Preidency has been one of self-discovery. I absolutely LOVED how Palin declared tonight that running for the office of the POTUS is about THE PEOPLE the POTUS will serve and NOT some journey of SELF discovery! Boo-ya!

I also loved the shot she took at Michele Obama: Michelle Obama is known well for her comment about being proud of this country for the 1st time in her life. Tonight Palin described herself as coming from a family of blue collar working class people who did the majority of living, working, serving their country, and dying for their country - people who never give up and are proud of their country through the good times AND THE BAD...not just the good/when life is especially good to you! THAT is what being an American is all about and the type of people we need in the White Huse, not just someone who is proud of their country only when it benefits them!

Palin hammered the Democrats, the media, and Obama tonight!

This was not the whole game, though. She gave a great speech and shed some much-needed reality/light on the Obama Messiah BS 'Change' parade, but she is going to have to do more than give a good speech as a follow-up.

Re: Palin Speech

She has a story most American find empathetic and may relate too, shes the all American mom who drives her kids to hockey, and hunts, and makes moose stew. And she puts a cold beer in her hubbys lap after he mows the lawn. And she has 5 kids.. and one is retarded; seriously all it is; is pandering to votes. I predict her to be a SERIOUS liability after the convention charm has worn off.

I agree, she sounded like she's been in Washington for years.

Re: Palin Speech

Pandering? LOL! THAT is just it - THAT is the horrific problem the Liberals now know they face! Everything you just described about Palin is not some act - it's all true! It IS Palin! She nailed it when she said politicians have to walk in and try to convince the voters that they are just like them. Millionaires must try to convince blue collar people they 'feel their pain' and are just like them...when everyone KNOWS they aren't! NOT Palin - she IS one of us! She is the all American mom who drives her kids to hockey, and hunts, and makes moose stew. And she puts a cold beer in her hubbys lap after he mows the lawn. And she has 5 kids.. and the Liberals have no clue what to do about the selection of a REAL person, not a party-1st political insider being selected!

She is also everything that womens' rights actiists, who Limbaugh calls 'femini-Nazis', have been preaching about and fighting forfor years; yet, if you have been paying attention you will have seen these same womens' liber-ers attacking her for being everything they have fought FOR! Thus the next threat to Liberals - Palin exposes their hypocrisy and breaks down/exposes all the lying stereotypes the Liberals have been trying to paint the GOP as for years!

And by gosh she id down to earth, she is a woman of the people 1st and not of any party 1st! That scares the h@ll out of the Liberals - they can't comprehend it!

It's not pandering! Pandering is Obama going to some rural community, kissing babies and smiling, lying his @$$ off, as exposed then by making fun of those same people the next week while politicking somewhere else, talking about how those people are 'bitter and cling to their guns and religion'! Palin exposed Obama as being a two-faced, two-bit carney/snake oil salesman while she herself is refreshingly 'of the people'!

I thought McCain was daft when I first heard the selection for a running mate he had made. I see now, after tonight though, how brilliant he was! She is talented, smart, and is 'America 1st', not 'Party 1st'. Most importantly, she is 'one of us'! Obama can NOT say that...and HIS VP selection is on record as saying Obama is inexperienced, not ready to be POTUS, and that he would like to be running as McCain's VP!

The speechwriter made good use of gaffes and/or spins of Obama and his wife in order to attempt to drive a wedge between Obama and 'small town America.' Use of the Michelle flap was conveyed through a well written 'dog whistle' writing manoeuvre.

As Palin read the teleprompter when she went into her 'knowing small town America' she got it in: "They love their country, in good times and bad, and they’re always proud of America." The last part was stressed especially the 'always,' and the delegates cheered tremendously on cue. It would be taken poorly if she mentioned her by name but it proved to be an effective talking point earlier, so it gots tucked in there like that to make the sales pitch to the target audience (small town America) with flatteries whilst reminding them of the flap over Michelle's 'proud' comment to remind and convey to them that Michelle isn't 'proud like them' according to that talking point along with Obama's church and gun remark that she also made mention to the same effect.
