Maybe. We'll see - Oprah may change her mind and decide to have Palin on, but I doubt it. She'd be much more likely to invite Obama back.

Oprah has never really been a political show so I do not see her asking her policy questions. She talked to Laura Bush right? That did not turn into a heated debate did it?

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH
I believe that Oprah runs her own show.

She picks the guests and invites them. People don't invite themselves. Apparently this is how many TV shows operate.

I think the outrage is misplaced.

No. Those are general topics of interest.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

Oprah is not going to give Sarah Palin free air time on the only thing that appeals her to voters, her personality. She doesn't have issues, positions or plans, she's the GOPs "rock star" Which is fine. But Oprah isn't a Palin supporter and she's not going to attack her on television. That would only feed into this stupid "liberal media bias" thing that McCain campaign is running. But this IS a hoot. Somehow the GOP has decided they have a right to be on a person's daytime talk show. Oprah is not a news outlet and her show is not political. She has guests who SHE is interested in on her show and she doesnt have to explain why. Get over it. Christ.

To be fair, I don't think the GOP is calling for an invite - it's some of her staff and viewers. Unless you consider those people to be part of the GOP.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

Wait for the Fox News segment which blasts Oprah for refusing to have her on the show. I give it a week.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

I really have no problem with Oprah not inviting Palin on her show. Afterall, it is HER show and though I don't usually watch it, the few times I have seen it, it was very good. Oprah is a very caring and compassionate woman and to berate her for choosing to not politicize her show is a great disservice to her.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

This is just another example of how people who claim to be conservatives actually want to decide how people operate a private enterprise.

Well, this just reinforces my decision not to wear pajamas and eat bon bons all day while watching day time TV. I knew something like this was coming!

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

If the Dems get the Fairness Doc back in , would Oprah have to have both sides? If she has a person from one side would she then by law have to have a person from the other side?

Aren't you home sick with your broken rib? We can express deliver some bon bons over to you in time for the show, maybe. Just ask and we'll do our best.

On the topic, Oprah can do anything she doggone wants to do with her show. I don't watch it so it doesn't matter to me if she does have Palin on or not.

Anyway, an appearance by Palin may not reach as big of an audience of women that Palin needs to sway as a lot of those women are busy during the daytime.
