Actually, the difference is that your team finally has someone it can fawn and swoon over. If you read your own post, it would read no differently if an Obama supporter were saying it to you with the names reversed.

I mean, read your last line for God's sake - "America was lost and is now finding itself". I'd be willing to bet that those exact words have been uttered countless times by breathless Obama supporters about him.

I'm starting to think that all of this fervor against Obama was just jealously by GOP supporters over not having someone to make them feel like a kid getting an autograph from Brett Favre.

bingo, if this were Hillary she would have been booked, and carefully ensconced in the green room by now.

I find her refusal to carry Clarence Thomas on her show re: his book, the deal breaker, shes just another fucking phony. But a very good one, but this has woken a number of poeple I believe, well wait, let me read some of the posts here......da da da da dadadada (jeopardy music*)...

whoops, well not all of them...

If Oprah thinks she can afford the loss of audience because of her partisanship, that's Oprah's call. She's not hurting, but she can't lose my viewership as I don't watch her anyway.

Has Biden been on Oprah's show? Why not? Do you think it's because Biden isn't a Black liberal?

No in fact after reading that Thomas was given the bums rush, I would say its more along the ole con/ lib pol. lines.

Palin as a woman can stand on her own as in Oprah could easily make a case and explain to her audience that, Plain as a woman, deserves to be applauded from a feminist side of things, BUT that on a personal level Oprah does not endorse her views etc. politically and does not wish to see it as a political appearance, they don’t have to discuss politics at all.

Hey it is what it is…….

What are you/that article talking about?

The candidacy of Sara Palin IS one big identity game! (And it's working so far... white women are moving to McCain as evidenced in the polls) Accusing others of the same is pretty rich......

And to answer LBS yes its identity politics, I agree, I said it the moment it happened. BUT don’t I get to crazy about hypocrisy now like ya’ll do? It’s my turn dude.

You know, when a republican gets whacked for sticking his dick somewhere they shouldn’t or going gay we hear about it, they are hypocrites as they preach this and that……

now, its your turn in the barrel…the hypocrisy of the left, as in :feminism is to be lauded- but not when it’s a republican female, then all of sudden theres an “issue” …..hey its all good, that’s why I despise that game and don’t play it at all because……THE WORM ALWAYS TURNS my friend…….

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

As Oprah clearly demonstrates her bias, she will lose some of her audience.

It was bound to happen.

Ellen Degeneres has been able to have BHO and JSM on her show. Ellen has had Michelle Obama on.

Ellen likely will have Cindy on, too.

And, no doubt, Ellen will have Palin on. We'll see if Palin can dance, too.

Oprah was once great, but as often happens, the great ones are usually their own undoing.

Ellen is in center court, now. She understands that her audience doesn't want to see partisanship on daytime TV.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

I really can't fault Oprah here - her policy has been consistent and fairly applied from what I have read.

She hasn't had any political candidates on while they were running for election, of any party, race or gender.

Re: Oprah refuses to have Palin on show

Good for Ophrah!

Sarah Palin's views on abortion are to the right of those in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In 2005, the legislature in Tehran attempted to amend the country's antiabortion statute to permit an abortion up to four months in case of a birth defect. The GOP vice-presidential pick holds that abortion should be illegal, even in cases of rape, incest or severe birth defects.
