My knowledge of the economy is not on trial. What I want to do as a citizen is believe that my potential political leaders know what the hell they're talking about.

I did know enough about the subject to agree with the economists cited in the article that what Sara Palin said made little sense and threw her understanding of the subject matter into question.

Fair enough...but I'm not running for office... and I don't intend to argue the finer points of Mortgage investing. If you and I would have a debate about that, maybe you would win... and maybe it would give you some kind of satisfaction. For me, I don't see what the point would be.

I will. I try to follow up on everything on this issue - and, believe it or not, I give you kudos for bringing up the issue.

Yes, I do get very involved in this topic, and my particular concern is not only the lack of understanding on the part of politicians, but on the part of the public.

These topics are boring and dry, but we must understand them.

It drives me up the wall and down when these clowns and clucks get away with policies that will hammer the economy. We all have to do our homework, because they don't.
