Oh, I am, indeed.

A question, though: Why is Obama going back to Washington? What's he going to do?

You libs have had a field day lambasting McCain for going, saying there's nothing for him to do. Why, then, would Obama go back? Is there something that Obama can magically do that McCain can't do?

Therein lies the absolute hypocrisy of the moronic left. You'll laud Obama for returning to Washington and, in the same breath, criticize McCain for doing it.

So, if there's nothing to be done (which is something repeatedly pointed out by libs), will the libs be as harsh on Obama as they are on McCain for returning to Washington?

So he better suspend his campaign and cancel any plans for a debate on Friday, because at some point in the next few days he's going to be asked to vote......
Maybe he can get some pictures of him with the people who are actually negotiating the deal, to show that he's a "Leader".......

Maybe he can ask Sarah Palin what she thinks should be done and bring her wisdom on the subject back to Capitol Hill

Poor McCain. I had no idea this month was going to be the way it is. McCain had everyone listening for about a week to 10 days there, and then it all just came crashing down. And I feel especially bad for Gov.Palin, who was mishandled over the last couple days in New York by McCain, and who obviously isn't being let in to the McCain inner circle as evidenced by her interview yesterday where she kept tragically repeating that to her knowledge, Rick Davis recused himself from Fannie-Freddie a couple years ago.

Ouch!

By the way, was it just me, or did Sen.McCain look quite tired and droopy and gaunt yesterday?
Poor Obama, he will be hard pressed to one-up McCain at this point, all he can do now is be reactive as McCain has snatched the proactive role.
Here's a prediction, Obama's reaction to this will be one of placing blame first and them topping it off with rhetoric about how he placs to bulldoze and rebuild america.(his way)

On appearance, a good looking candidate, noww that will get us where we need to be, huh?

As he's demonstrated throughut this campaign, Barack Obama doesn't try and "one up" anyone. You are reveaing the naked political opportunism of the McCain campaign that most Americans will also recognize. The Palin pick and this move demonstrate that McCain believes Americans are stupid and don't look twice at things. The first look at Palin was good and gradually she has moved from a positive to a liability for McCain. And this, it sure sounds good when you first hear it, but once the deal is put together and the campaign begins again, I seriously doubt that McCain will see any kind of serious bounce in the poll numbers. Everyone knows that John McCain is a politician and only Republicans will accept this as truly altruistic.

Libs want the White House, and they don't give a fuck how they get it. If they have to put their own interests in front of the interests of the country as a whole, they're all to willing to do just that.

Libs are worthless, but they make funny posts...
McHoover didn't propose to go to the Senate and debate and vote, he proposed that he and Obama go to the WH and meet with Junior and congressional leaders (their leaders) and hash out a deal.
Gee, isn't that a little presumptuous? I mean, Junior is the Decider until January 20, that's his job.
McCain's lobbyist handlers saw that he was in a free fall in the polls, and pretty soon they wouldn't be able to pretend the race is close anymore.

Conservatives are funny, especially the ones who think their talking points are more convincing if they sprinkle in a few curse words.

McCain is trying to duck the debate, that is the underlying truth of all this.
And it makes perfect political sense for him to want the debate postponed to a time when this economic crisis which has built to a crescendo, which 2/3 of Americans blame the GOP for, has moderated a bit, because looking at McCain right now with all this stuff going on is going imprint on the minds of the voters that McCain doesn't have a clue as to what's going on, he's better off saying nothing until a deal is reached, and then claiming he had a big part in it.

But there is no reason to cancel the debate, and for the voters, the best thing would be to change the topic from "Foreign Policy" to "The Current Crisis", so they could decide who they want dealing with this crisis in 4 months, and the crisis will still be there in 4 months, make no mistake about that.

If Bush is the decider until January 20, why have any debate at all? Why not just let him make the call?

Of course, because that's not how things work.

What I find so funny is that libs seem to have an enormously real problem with the idea that a Senator would return to Washington to do what Senators are elected to do.

Obama got punked on this one; punked hard...

A continuation of liberal horseshit.

Where has McCain called for the debate to be cancelled? Please show us that, or admit that you're being dishonest as Hell...

I figure that McCain's handlers realized that he just wasn't up to debating Obama. Kind of funny after practially demanding that Obama join him in the hokey "Town Halls" that were packed with conservative shills.

The last week or so McCain's statements and his few interviews showed him as the confused old man that he is.

You may be right. I wouldn't be surprised if McCain finds a way to weasel out of debating Obama at all. McCain is so fatigued that he can't think straight.
There are now reports that McCain's Lobbyist Handlers are panicked about the thought of air-head Palin debating Biden next week. Did you catch Palin's interview yesterday with Katie Couric on CBS? Painful, or Palinful.

I'm glad she clarified yesterday that Rick Davis hasn't been involved with Freddie and Fannie for a couple years now, cause I was gettin' worried there.

Re: "John McCain suspends campaigning..."

If Obama goes to Oxford, MS tomorrow night and McCain doesn't show, they can just prop up a cardboard cut-out of the old man at the Republican rostrum.

Then, after the "debate" is over, the talking heads from the cable channels can talk about how much more animated and articulate than usual John McCain seemed that evening.

After last week's performance,....and THIS week's circus of ineptitude, the presidential race is over. You can write this prediction in blood, John McCain's blood--Obama 54% and 349 electoral votes, McCain 45% and 189 electoral votes, Barr, McKinney, et al 1% and no electoral votes.

I note, with no great degree of surprise, that the Canadians here love this patheitc failure. Well, to our Canadian brethren, your opinions mean complete dick.

Idiot libs here in the States are too fucking stupid to realize what is brutally obvious to anyone whose IQ exceeds their shoe size: That Obama doesn't give a flying fuck about Americans. He wants to be the first black President, and he'll fuck you six ways to Sunday to do it. He's going to ram it in and break it off, and libs are bending over and salivating in anticipation...
Do you have anything to offer on the subject that is indicative of logical deduction and not just an emotion fueled rant? I mean we get it - everyone who disagrees with your politics is unintelligent, "idiotic", "stupid", has a sub-shoe-sized IQ, and is a general poopie faced doo-doo head. Perhaps if they were more intelligent, they would have thought of something clever, like getting all worked up and calling everyone around them names while in the throes of a tizzy, and doing it all in lieu of adding any actual substance to the discussion.

Well maybe a cardboard cut-out of the 2000 McCain we all remember and love.

I don't see a 9 point spread. What you have to understand is that all the dramatics in the last 24 hours by John McCain has everything to do with him playing to his base with the hopes that he can swing back some Independents. However, I think for moderates it's going to be a case that they're not confusing motion with action. It's still going to be close because both sides are dug in, but Independent voters are trending towards Obama in the last week now. I'm thinking more like 51-47. However, if enough people are pissed off at both parties over this welfare plan, I'd have to say we're looking at 48-42 with the other 10% split between the others.

The idea of McCain at Bush's side and signing onto this thing goes directly against some very staunch conservatives out there. That's why McCain's theatrics yesterday were completely over-the-top and will backfire on him, because he's looking erratic to the moderates, and unprincipled to the base.
