But, since I'm not part of Obama's campaign, I can and do question his motives. President Clinton may not have that freedom.
enlighten us, what POW's "motives"..?

and as to the rest thats so completely laughable, so clinton and what hes says is no longer the cats meow? I see, I bet if he came put whacking McCain "some" would be all over it...please huh.

I'm starting to think the debate commission should just have the debate with Obama by himself if McCain doesn't show up. If he is going to snub voters in the most important time to hear their thoughts on things and to evaluate how they are handling this crisis then he deserves to have the disadvantage of the other candidate getting 90 minutes of prime time network coverage without him.

I don’t think that’s legal…they would be funding it and it would be considered paid pol. Advertising then…besides I think McCain said he will be there…

I guess McCain just isn't sincere enough to stand by his beliefs. Of course it was stupid of McCain to put himself in the situation in the first place. I wonder how all the people who defended McCain's decision to "not go to the debate" will justify this new flip flop.

First off, I knew from the start that McCain would not be skipping the debate. It was fun to set B.O. up along the way, though.

In any case, do you really think that B.O. Unplugged for 90 minutes, alone, would be an advantage to Obama? The more people know about that dude and what he really aims to do, the less votes he'll get. College kids can do a sip of beer every time Um-bama says, "Um..." and get schnockered to bejesus and back.

Set Obama up for what exactly? To look like he has a cool head during times of crisis? To look like a leader who doesn't put up with political theatre? McCain gambled and lost, just like the people who screwed up the "mortgage crisis".

McCain wasn't out to impress you. To him, you don't matter.

That crap you spout - coming from a person that probably jerks off to that video of GWB being told of 9/11 and keeping his composure in front of the little kids.

Re: Merged - "John McCain suspends campaigning..."

Yeah what was the set up. Obama did not bite the bait. Obama kept prepping through yesterday and, no doubt, prepped last night. And McCain is emerging as a candidate who is all bluster and no action. He did NOTHING to solve the bailout gridlock and Democrats are effectively making it seem he derailed the process. He lost on ALL fronts on this gamble. There is no way to spin it.

Who WAS he out to impress? Undecideds? Undecideds like to watch the debate, for many its the first bit of politics they pay attention to. And as we know, the majority of Americans wanted the debate to go on. Independents? The daily tracking polls indicate that independents weren't impressed with this political stunt. Republicans? Republicans are already going to vote for him. Hey may have gotten a few anti-Obama Democrats who were wavering and just "like" him. But I think most people looked at John McCain this week and rolled their eyes. He's self destructing.

Really? McCain isn't out to impress independent moderate voters? Is that why he's been running around like a chicken with it's head cut-off? To finally turn off undecided voters?

Yeah. You're an independent/moderate. You're undecided. And I'm Che Guevara.

Well I'm stuck between none of the above/Obama, so yes I'm undecided. Why do you think McCain isn't out to convince people that they should vote for him? Has he just been wasting the American people's tax-payer dollars adn their time?
