Exclamation The GOP Losses Another One Of Their Big Guns...

Joe The Plumber Quitting The GOP: Time Magazine

What a sad, sad, sad man. I wonder where he will go next. It certainly ain't the Democratic Party.

Re: The GOP Losses Another One Of Their Big Guns...

I see a while new career in show biz. Perhaps a series of "buddy" movies like Martin and Lewis?

I'm thinking...Joe the Plumber and Larry the Cable Guy in: "Two Assholes in Washington"

Or, "Ernest Joins the Log Cabin Republicans" starring Joe the Plumber. Or "Joe the Plumber Does Dallas"

Joe the Plumber is a tool that the McCain camp exploited to try and rally the "average Joe" around his bid for presidency. For McCain, he turned out to be fool's gold and Joe got lured into it by the celebrity status he achieved over night.

Re: The GOP Losses Another One Of Their Big Guns...

I agree. Like most people who are thrust into the public eye (whether they deserve it or not), old JTP is trying to capitalize on his 15 minutes before it goes away.

What amazes me is how so many people started to think this guy was some kind of pundit when he's just an average schmuck like anyone else. It's not like he grabbed a microphone and started telling people he was the next George Will or something. He was SUPPOSED to be the "average Joe" and his opinions are no more valid than anyone else's.

I don't really blame the man for trying to cash in on undeserved fame. If Paris Hilton can do it, why not old Joe?

Re: The GOP Losses Another One Of Their Big Guns...

from the time article-

Samuel Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, tells TIME he's so outraged by GOP overspending, he's quitting the party — and he's the bull's-eye of its target audience. But he also said he wouldn't support any cuts in defense, Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid — which, along with debt payments, would put more than two-thirds of the budget off limits.

a) good for him, I did too as I agree with his objections as to over spending, b) but it appears he IS a republican as he won't sppt. any reduction in spending in entitlement areas which makes him a GOP pal, so hes in fact schizophrenic imho, c) this is just another example ala the OP and others here, as to why they know squat about the cons, republicans and how they tie together or don’t.

Seems like NOBODY knows "squat" about the Republicans, including you. That's why they are the sorry state they are in right now.

What's funny here is that nobody has bothered to point out the idiocy in the fact that the only people who see Joe The Plumber as anyone important anymore are libs...

If John Bobbitt can find a new life and new friends in America, so can Joe the Plumber. I wish him well.

I was watching a republican convention in washington the other week (I'm doing some study on the internal politics of the republicans during the election, so I wanted to have a look one and got a feed) and he got mobbed. Really bizarre. I think he's totally inconsequental though...

Now, perhaps reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. I'm not judging, but if you're going to accuse me of being out of touch, you might want to go back and consider just what the fuck "the only people who see Joe The Plumber as anyone important anymore are libs" actually means.

The fact that everything you came up with was from last year, and nothing approaching anything recent, dictates your pathetically weak attempt at proving me wrong to be an epic fail. So, in that spirit:
