You did not demonstrate any expertise. I had to look it up myself. |

I give up, Maat222 - your repeated implication that I am lying when I tell you what I have personally done is just pissing me off now. So we'll leave it at this - you don't have a fucking clue what you are talking about, and your huge failings are plainly visible in the thread for all to see. I'm no longer going to try and help you understand that you are wrong here - I'll leave you at this point to wallow in your deep, festering ignorance. You misunderstand. Whether or not you have the expertise is not relevant, because you did not convey it very well. You were trying to prove there were a lot of things that a fire captain had to know, that we beyond what station procedure included. And I don't think that is appropriate for the test. What they should have done was to test for what they should have learned at the station, and anything additional should have been taught to them after they had been selected for the job. The idea they should all train themselves ahead of time, is wrong, haphazard, unfair, and wasteful. Why make hundreds go through the whole process of training themselves, just to pick a dozen finally? It makes no sense. The test was supposed to be about aptitude to be able to take captain training, not how well then had been already trained as a captain. |
