You don't really know much about Minnesota, do you?

Right, much better to cheat on your wife, pursue little boys in bathrooms or run the economy into the ground while wasting 3 trillion dollars and 5000 lives.

But at least you don't smoke pot. Now.

I wish you'd stop insulting Cro-Magnons. These are the people who gave us Fire, advanced stonemaking, language, heck, most of civilization.

If they were all Republicans we'd still be killing anyone who suggested we not sacrifice our children to Baal as atheistic blasphemers and arguing that all our problems came from the liberal pantywaist practice of using spears to hunt sabretooths and not wrestling them barehanded, as God intended.

I see substance still hasn't managed to find a way into your posts.

And yet, it is you and many of the "liberal pantywaists" who fear and reject the most modern incarnation of the spear, the firearm. Nice try, though.

What I was meant to infer is the sanctimoniousness of the position he took later on. If someone has a past with something, they ought to be candid, humble, fair and constructive in their approach to others if they now wish to speak out against what they did.

Well, I know that Minnesota has been a veritable swing state (sans POTUS) as of late. I also know that there has has also been a penchant for candidates with slightly unconventional backgrounds. (Ventura) Combine that the progressive pedigree, I'm not shocked.

That said, the vote was a little close.

Minnesota, on the whole, isn't as 'progressive' in the same sense that people think. For example, it isn't the 'liberals' or 'progressives' in the Twin Cities that give the DFL their real power in the state; it is the labor unions up north on the Iron Range. While they vote for what some would call 'progressive' candidates, and only because they are DFL, they are by no means 'progressive' in the sense you are driving at. Socially they are closed off, economically they are socialist.

Well, it makes sense that different consistencies make for strange bedfellows. I'm from Louisiana- we know all about that here. Of course, there's no real labor influence in the south.

I should note that I wasn't intoning that Minnesota is a political monolith. No state is. I was just referring to past voting behavior.

Don't forget, Cro-Magnons get the business from Geico insurance too.

This thread is not about John Edwards and Michael Jackson. Please stay on topic.
