I am a liberal, a classical liberal. Classical liberalism is liberalism, but the current collectivists have captured that designation in the United States. In Europe they are glad enough to call themselves socialists. But no one in America wants to be called socialist and admit what they are.

If you want to get personal towards an entire state, one could successfully argue that that trait (ie electing morons) isn't the sole domain of Minnesota. Some other notable examples are Oklahoma (Tom Coburn), Missouri (John Ashcroft) and any number of congressional districts.

Incorrect. The only reason the Supreme Court stepped into the election was that the Florida Supreme Court was in violation of State election law and its own precedence. To say it was handed to him is an incorrect statement.

But some people do not understand that it is the duty of the courts to assure that the LAW is followed and that each case involving the same issues is treated in exactly the same way. The Supreme Court ruled correctly in deciding issues surrounding the disputed election in Florida.
