To be fair there was much questioning of Truman’s intellect etc. post swearing in though, ‘ to err was Truman’ was a newspaper refrain. His daughter was viciously panned after a concert/recital in which see sang etc etc...

What is obvious & in your face--is a double standard between the treatment of MALE & FEMALE POLITICIANS.

Hillary Clinton complained about males with-in the DNC--while the liberal main stream media fell so deeply in love with Barack Obama. --That they went after Chelsea & often asked offensive--rude & hurtful questions.

YET--never once did they ask BO--what he was doing in that church for 20 years. If Hillary would have been a 20 year member of a white extremist church--she would have been tared & feathered--run out of town on a rail--& (immediately disqualifed by the DNC.)

Sarah Palin & her family were so viciously attacked by the left wing media in this country. IN FACT--I challenge anyone on this board to produce--one single MALE politician--in the HISTORY of the United States whose CHILDREN & FAMILY were attacked in the same manner.

This is not accurate. I gave you the name of "one single MALE politician" in this thread. Harry Truman's wife and daughter were mercilessly abused, and almost entirely without cause. I have not looked at any response that you made there, but his wife and daughter were certainly savaged by the press as savagely--and as unfairly--as any political family in history. I noted that Margaret Truman, a bright and talented young woman, became a virtual recluse for two decades as a consequence of the deplorable treatment to which she had been subjected.

You may read any decent biography of President Truman, or you may read Margaret's own book. Being educated about a topic often involves more than following facile links around the internet. If you do not KNOW any of the details, then you cannot reasonably deny that such attacks against Truman's family took place. You are looking for an easy way out, which seems wholly in keeping with your incessant cut-and-pastes, while I am not inclined to indulge you.
