Nope--without Palin--McCain would have been lucky to carry his home state of Arizona.

What has liberals terrified of Sarah Palin is the size of the crowds she draws. Over 60 K in Florida. McCain was dwindling down to 20 or so people at his campaign rallies prior to Palin's announcement.

Palin has a 73% approval rating within the Republican party with Mitt Romney trailing her at 57%.

She scares the hell out of the white republican males too. So everyone is after her.

There is NO-ONE in politics today that relates so easily (without the use of a telepromter) with average--everyday Americans--like Sarah Palin does--& that's what scares the hell out of them.

Palin whines too much. She quit on AK because the heat got to hot and she couldn't handle it. All we hear is."The media picks on me" "The Dems pick on me" "everyone picks on my family"
Then threatens legal action against anyone that doesn't toe the line.
In reality she's just a media hound, looking to stir up what ever she can. It's all gonna bite her in the butt later. Her beat bet is to just fade away.

YAWN--Who would stay in any job--where when they walk out the front door either themselves or their family is attacked & you spend 99.9% of your job duty fighting off frivilous claims--at a cost of 500K to you.

Would you stay for more?--LOL

I wouldn't.

If she can't stand it on the State level how is going to stand it on a much bigger national level?
And it's not just the evil, nasty, mean lib. media it's also the evil, nasty, mean GOP media.

You're not going to be president either.

You know who would pursue a job when people claim he's a terrorist, a muslim, a Kenyan, he's a mystery man we know nothing about?
PRESIDENT Obama.

You know who pursued a job when people called him a draft dodger, a coke head, a drunk, a bag man, an idiot.
PRESIDENT Bush.

You know who pursued a job, where people called him a murderer, a bribe taker, a drug smuggler?
PRESIDENT Clinton.

You know who didn't, the people you never heard of.

If she decides to go to the National Level??? which is unknown she would have herds of lawyers in the justice department to take care of those daily ethic frivilous charges.

In Alaska--the state has already paid out millions to investigate all of the allegations against her & she had to pay out of pocket for her own attorneys.

Who would stay--looking forward to whomever from the left was going to bring up another frivilous charge she was going to have to fight with her own money. I WOULDN'T & I doubt anyone would.

"Oh Boy--I get to go to work today--to see who else has filed some frivilous charge that I get to pay for." Who works for that?

You want embarrassment?
Look at Palin's resignation speech. She knew this was coming, she knew it would be covered by all the media, she scheduled the time and the place.
And she rambled on without any prepared remarks, just babbled off the top of her head. Would Obama have prepared remarks, yes, that's what you are supposed to do, that is the job, that is the work. Palin doesn't have any work ethic whatsoever. Call the press and wing it.
This wasn't a sudden deal, where she had no time to prepare, this was something where she didn't have to make the call until she was ready.

If Obama was calling the media, and he knew he would lead every newscast, he would have prepared a speech, and had a jim dandy sound bite that every network would have had to carry, because he set up the speech like that.
That was Palin, totally prepared, if you want to make a fair comparison, play that babbling by the lake and then play back Obama's Inauguration address.
Because they both had just as long to prepare.

"Rambling on"? At least it wasn't a prepared speech (written by someone else) that was read from a teleprompter. THANK GOD!

I don't know why you didn't understand it--I sure did. Basically she stated she's tired of the attacks on herself & her children--she's tired of the frivilous charges--that she spends 99% of her time as govenor fighting--& it's in the best interest of the citizens of Alaska to move on.

What's not to understand?

What's not to understand?
Did you watch her? I watched the entire unedited horror show, she sounded like an SNL skit.

Why didn't she prepare?
Was it a complete surprise that she was going to resign?
Did she have no inkling what was coming when she scheduled the press conference in her backyard?

If she doesn't prepare for this, is this a peek of her "Style" of governing?
Unprepared, mouthing platitudes and sports analogies, but no idea of what is actually going on. Do you really want a president like that?

Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

So most here seem to think that it was ok for the media to go after the Palin kids because she put them on stage.. Here is a good one and is it RIGHT??
POLITICO 44 | A Living Diary of the Obama Presidency

Now some will say that there is no story there, but there is a story, Who is getting paid? Is the Obama family going to report the cloths as INCOME?

Did you understand what she was saying? You know I am a little tired of perfectly pronounced speeches--Washington politicians that are so good at speaking out of both sides of their mouths--that they can do it-- in the same sentence.

I want politician like Sarah Palin who speaks the truth--no matter if it's not perfectly pronounced. I want politicians who do not have speeches written by others--to be delivered by a teleprompter. I want politicians who explain things to me--like I would to them.

I don't want a rehearsed--staged performances. If that means a little rambling off topic every now & then--that's perfectly O.K. with me.

There is nothing frightening about Sarah Palin. She is completely unelectable outside Alaska, and at this point probably inside it, too. She provokes head-shaking bewilderment, amused contempt, scornful derision -- but certainly not fear.
