Ah, the good old days, when Reagan was President, and Michael Jackson was black.

Was just watching her live as soon as she confirmed she was in fact stepping down, they cut off her speech. They broadcasted what they wanted us to hear and they were done with her. Journalism and responsible reporting is completely dead in the U.S.

I heard she was offered a 7 figure deal to be a Russian tour guide.

The best part is, she won't even have to leave her house.

Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

She is hitting the heart here. Listen to her--she states she has decided not to run for govenor in 2010. Here's the catch-"she is not going to be a "lame duck" govenor that just flys all over the country--having a great time--while at the taxpayer expense. She's also not going to drag down the State of Alaska--with all the eroneous charges that have been made against her--from the "opposition" party that have been proven false. She says she spends most of her time as govenor fighting all of these eroneous charges & it is not fair to the citizens of Alaska.

Im hoping its something like that. Republicans seem to do that a lot. Once they become lightning rods, they resign. I would rather they fight, but I can see where that gets stressful. The left wing media attack machine is formidable.

Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

From the MSNBC News Ticker:
Sources tell NBC's Andrea Mitchell Palin is out of Politics for good.

Lots of pundits are calling this decision "bizarre," akin to a quarterback quitting before they are mature.

Others have stated that if this is found to be a ploy it will fail, as it will only be seen as a good thing to those who already support and won't go any further outside of that.

Sarah Palin's turning out to be quite the entertainer.

Yet another WTF? move by Sarah Palin.

Imperator, I don't know if you were joking when you said she has a "lock" on the GOP nom in 2012 now. This is going to kill her, if the party has any sense at all (which I realize is a dubious proposition).
She may realize that she won't win re-election and that would not look good for a presidential bid.

I say bring her on, she's a riot. It's a bit of schadenfreude to watch her in action.
