This is one of those gambles that is brilliant when it works and foolish when it doesn't. A governorship is a great bully pulpit, but Alaska is probably too far out of the loop. One thing is for sure she's done the people of Alaska a great service in allowing someone with an undivided attention take over in the statehouse. You are a total jackass if you think the filth and crap that was thrown out into the world in the first weekend following the announcement of her as VP candidate had a thing to do with who she was as a politician. She was a woman and she was attacked in every way possible for being a woman. Her children being her children or not, her decisions about her body were questioned, how dare she travel while pregnant, how dare she get pregnant at her age. It was crap the same old woman hating filth.

People I was friends with that I thought were forward thinking liberals proved themselves to be misogynistic cretins. They revealed themselves for who they were, they didn't want a fair and equal world they wanted a world where "they" were in charge.

No male politician on this planet has ever had his status as father of his children questioned within 2 days of being selected to run for national office.

Attack her for her politics not for being a woman.
