Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

BEFORE her first term is even over. Seems like ole Sarah "You Betcha" Palin didn't really have the chops afterall.

Report: Palin resigning as Alaska gov - More politics- msnbc.com
Palin Reelection Plans Nixed: Won't Run Again As Governor
Sarah Palin will not seek re-election - Jonathan Martin - POLITICO.com

Is this political suicide? Is a scandal about to break?

Oh boy, oh boy...more fun at the GOP's expense.

Re: Palin stepping down as Gov.

This is ridiculous. She only had one more year to serve anyway. Why not finish that term out and choose not to run for reelection? Actually, if she wants to shoot for the WH in 2012, she'd be better off getting reelected as governor, most likely.

Yet another WTF? move by Sarah Palin.

Imperator, I don't know if you were joking when you said she has a "lock" on the GOP nom in 2012 now. This is going to kill her, if the party has any sense at all (which I realize is a dubious proposition).

Look at the types of comments this news is getting from the boards of the internets:

Something's going down... this can't just be strategy. Or maybe it is- stupid strategy for running for another political office. I can just see the remarks 'You couldn't even finish your first term as governor and you want the public to trust you to serve another office faithfully?'

Interesting. Maybe shes tired of the democrat attack machine. Shes had to dend off dozens of lawsuits, which shes won all of them. That probably gets old.

Todd Palin told FOX News that his wife will concentrate on "doing the things for Alaska and the country" that she is passionate about and can not do as governor with the limitation and constant opposition she deals with within the state.

Hate to pour water on your Palin hate fire-but Mitt Romney resigned two years prior to the end of his term--to "guess what" run for POTUS.

She may be doing an Obama here--take a senate seat--next year--which she would surely win--then run for POTUS in 2012.

This is what politicians typically do when they're getting ready to move to another political position.

We'll see what she is up to shortly

It's possible too, she is just very tired of her family getting attacked every time she walks out the front door by the left wing media--& or she just got offered a private sector job that she just can't refuse.

I don't hate funny entertainers. On the contrary, I happen to like comedians very much. I hope Sarah Palin plans on playing in town near me with all her new soon-to-be free time.

Re: Sarah Palin's Gonna Resign from Her 1st Term As Governor...

She will most likley run for senate in 2010, to get the washington experience and prepare for her run in 2012 and 2016.

If I were in her position I would take a power too. her family has been attacked none stop, and she can make 50-100k to make a speach...
