Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - Lost in translation, question ’struck a nerve’ with Clinton - Blogs from CNN.com

Hmmm. Is Hillary perhaps jealous because Bill's getting all the press for the North Korea mission while she hops about Africa accomplishing the square root of jack?

If she's this testy with a college kid asking a question, I'm glad Obama sent Bill to North Korea - Hillary clearly is too stressed for such delicate work.

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

Thread worthy?

I mean, really? Who gives a shit. The translator fucks up and asks her what Bill thinks about something and she has the nerve to get all uppity and set them straight on who's the sheriff these days?

Then of course we get Dr. Matt, with his insight that she is "clearly" to stressed to do her job.

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

Not exactly the calm, calculated attitude one would expect from our chief diplomat.

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

Look she worked hard to become secretary of state, and she should be referred to how she wants. Dont call her m'am. Call her Madam Secretary. Wait, Im thinking of Barbara Boxer. Anyway, no story here, other than Hillary doesnt exactly have a good temper. I heard a pundit say this morning that she doesnt want people to think shes channeling her husbands experience, but rather her own. To which I wondered, what experience? She no Condi Rice.

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

And she was speaking to a Congolese student (rather than an American)? That makes it worse, I think.

Once again, Matt doesn't let facts get in the way .

The translator botched the translation of the question, making it seem that she was being asked what her husband thought instead of her. And such a question would've been dumb.

Refreshing, IMHO. We've seen too much of the cold and calculating Hillary. Now we know she's human (somewhat).

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

There's no real story here. The translator fucked up. Frankly, I can see why she'd be pissed. At the end of the event, the Secretary and the questioner were seen shaking hands and smiling.

This is such a non-issue...

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

And once again, instead of responding like a reasonable person and asking for clarification, she flips out like a kook.

I though these people were sold as "smarter".

The point - which you as usual can't grasp - was here completely overblown, nasty reaction to the question.

Re: Hillary snaps at college kid asking question

The equivalent question to G. W. Bush would have been:
"What would your daddy in this position?"
And he would have been pissed if you did that as well.

First of all the Student didn't ask that question and there was a translator screw up.

There is two ways to look at this:
1. She just got annoyed and probably didn't handle the best way.
2. She meant it. This is Africa after all. She has to be a strong woman in this area. It mightn't play well at home but it is what is needed in Central Africa where they look for strong leaders. She also a woman and she has to show that is not a second fiddle to her husband or otherwise they would not deal with her.

Being in Africa for a year the 2nd point is important, this is a place ruled by Dictators.

Can you imagine her answering the phone at 3am?
