The FU is certainly a coincidence, but still...the move is something I'm sure many past and present executives of the states and fed would love to do at times, and ought to follow precedent if applicable. It's as old as the Bible for politicians to concentrate on often focus on fluff over stuff to avoid heavy liftings and it's a help IMO to send a message on that where it's gotten way out of hand.

I think the Democrats are treating Republicans with a great deal of tolerance, patience and generosity considering how the Republicans destroyed the country over the past 8 years and openly talked about a single party system. You should be grateful to have your nose in the tent at all.

Well, technically Will, the country was fine until the Dems took over the house and senate in 2006. Real story is, both parties are responsible for the mess we are in and Obama and the current crop of Dems have made and will make things much worse. Pretty much every economist agrees on that point.
