Obama's bumbling of the oil spill

Notice how they keep saying they were on top of it from day 1? hahahahahahaha yeah right hahahahahahaha

    Now look at this:

If U.S. officials had followed up on a 1994 response plan for a major Gulf oil spill, it is possible that the spill could have been kept under control and far from land.

The problem: The federal government did not have a single fire boom on hand.

The "In-Situ Burn" plan produced by federal agencies in 1994 calls for responding to a major oil spill in the Gulf with the immediate use of fire booms.

But in order to conduct a successful test burn eight days after the Deepwater Horizon well began releasing massive amounts of oil into the Gulf, officials had to purchase one from a company in Illinois.
Despite plan, not a single fire boom on hand on Gulf Coast at time of oil spill | al.com

Stop playing golf and campaigning all over the country Obama and do your F**king job!

What a cartoonish mischaracterization of what's actually happened down there, and, of course, they haven't said they were 'on top of it' since day one, let alone that that really doesn't mean anything specific.

So where are the fire booms? As President of the United States Obama has said the buck stops with him. Since this has happened under his watch and the necessary equipment wasn't it place and still isn't being used he get the blame.

If you want to discuss please be up to speed on what is going on. Here is the video of the administration saying it:

So if they were there from DAY1 why hasn't a fire boom made it there yet?

ON TOP OF IT FROM DAY ONE!
“Are vital U.S. interests more imperiled by what happens in Iraq where were have 50,000 troops, or Afghanistan where we have 100,000, or South Korea where we have 28,000 -- or by what is happening on our border with Mexico?...What does it profit America if we save Anbar and lose Arizona?”

Do you guys honestly think he isn't doing the best he can? There are a lot of policies I don't support Obama on, but if you guys don't think being a president is a 24/7 job your crazy. Just because the public doesn't get to hear every single little thing that goes on surrounding the president you guys seem to think he isn't doing anything. Care to explain?

    SURPRISE!

    You are wrong... again

The White House is claiming that they were on top of it from day one.

OK, share your thoughts. What specific things has this administration fucked up? Please be specific. What did they get wrong, and what should they have done?

    Okay...

The problem: The federal government did not have a single fire boom on hand.
In the days after the rig sank, U.S Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mary Landry said the government had all the assets it needed. She did not discuss why officials waited more than a week to conduct a test burn.
    More?

Re: Obama's bumbling of the oil spill

well bush took heat for not 'funding ' the levies......if the booms weren't there, well? They can both take heat for that. Of course we need not bother with the 911 allegories.

My concern is the burning issue, IF sop was to burn, and, it was stopped as it was, due to environmental issues, well, I have to think on that and read more, clearly it doesn't seem to me anyone may have considered what would be worse, if the oil continued to slake or the sky was fouled, as to relative damage. We are however about to find out. I suspect we are going to wish we burned all we could and kept burning.

One thing is for certain, if there was an "R" next to his name, the press would be tearing Obama to shreds over this.
